I was big into going to the gym back when I worked a 9 or 10 hour work day, now it's 12 and 13 hour days..:(
Hopefully, when my work hub reopens, I can go back to a 10-hour day starting in the mid-morning and not have to sit in an hour of traffic to get home.
With that, I may end up retiring this year or early next year.
I've enjoyed being at home for the last 5 months, it's going to be another 2 or 3 months before I go back to work..

A Planet Fitness was just built near me, literally walking distance.
When I get my shoulder up to speed, the wife and I will get memberships and at least go on the weekends.
I'll go during the week until I go back to work.

Right now, I'm walking more, alone and with the dogs, and using the rubber bands in the garage.
Doing my PT for the surgeries at home and the rehab place.
It feels good to work out and exercise, it seems easier and more motivational to do so surrounded by like-minded people at a gym.:D

It's actually not suffering. But mtn bikers commonly refer to long climbs as such. It's always worth it to climb first and descend after. Today's ride was only 1200' of climbing on a road before I could ride single track down.

They make gaiters specifically for hot weather. Check out any of the fly fishing shops/outfitters.

When I did a big ride across Peru about 12 or so years ago, I wore a gaiter the entire time. It was so nice to calm the dust down from all the dirt we were riding.

Once you hit multi-quite, it saves it in the que for you. Doesn't matter if it's from a different thread or not. When you go to put in the quotes you want, you can review all the MQ's and remove any that you don't want.

I know it is quite unnecessary to tell you all this because you DGAF, but wanted to put it out there just in case you cared to understand more about the MQ functionality.

Circling back a few pages here but... I see that no one voted for maple syrup, but is that really a thing? Dipping fried fish in maple syrup sounds like a sure fire way to get vomit on the table.

I thought it might be some obscure regional thing. :notsure: I was surprised not to see freshly squeezed lemon juice on the list.

Speaking of fish and chips, there doesn't seem to be a good brand of frozen breaded fish fillets readily available at the grocery store. They all have this weird square shape and the breading on them sucks no matter what kind of batter is listed on the package.

Kinda tempted to buy some fresh cod fillets and roll my own but I don't feel like dealing with a bunch of leftover oil after frying up a couple of fillets.

Looking back through the photos from the trip to Peru brought back some good memories. So here's a few more of what I saw on my moto portion of the trip IMG_6388.jpg

I would definitely recommend pan frying in a light amount of oil and not deep frying. I use egg wash and seasoned panko for black cod filets. And the limited amount of oil needed leaves very little leftover.

Edit: Back when I was single I'd fry up a bunch them, then portion and freeze anything I didn't eat them with a vacuum sealer. When I wanted an easy meal all I had to do was place the frozen portions in the air fryer.

Pan frying is definitely the way. I prefer McCormick beer batter, but there's many good ways to bread the fillets.

There are only 3 lines in the haiku, but 5 in the post.
