My wife's gift arrived almost 2 weeks ago but you could be making some other guys look bad.

 

Daughter is headed to AZ on Thursday to visit my parents so for the first time in a decade or more I got the wife a Valentines reservation for dinner. Technically it’s on Saturday and it’s my favorite restaurant but it’s still stupid expensive so I’d better score that evening.

We made it to Manhattan, KS about 9 last night and we will be here until Thursday morning to wait out some weather. Brother and I went to college here.

I got the Norovirus/stomach flu and started having symptoms mid day Sunday right after I worked out. By the Super Bowl I was wondering why I couldn’t fart, and really wanted to. That night was really rough. I was able to rally and get myself together enough for a late departure and we got out of Ohio. We had to make progress with a good weather window. Me in the back seat trying to not to get germs on anything/anyone. Brother/sister taking turns driving. Only threw up once past St. Louis. Had some good throw up bags I think my wife got from a hospital a while back.

Today we walk over to one of my favorite sandwich places, the Rockabelly Deli. I hope my belly is done rocking.

I recently purchased a made in china HU from Amazon that had a lot of good reviews. It claimed everything was plug and play and that it included the SWC to function as normal. Quite a few reviews also verified that their SWC worked fine and install was super simple. After installing the unit and double checking everything was connected the steering wheel controls are not working. I will say that the sound from the factory speakers is better, but I am bummed that my el cheapo replacement didn't work as planned...




Do any of you wizards know if there is an swc harness that I can and add, or this thing just what I should expect for a MIC item?

 

Pretty standard with aftermarket android operating system head units. It is probably getting your steering wheel inputs but you have to dig through the setting menu to tell the head unit what the inputs mean. There is normally some sort of button mapping option buried in there.

Did the same thing in my truck . I got a super cheap unit though so I lost half of my buttons... I did gain the ability to map hold functions though so I could have all the functions it was just not intuitive for me to remember what I set the hold buttons to. So now I only have volume and skip/prev track buttons

 

all I really care about is the volume and skip tracks myself.
