Pretty much. My favorite was the LG refrigerator settlement. Had to send in a shitload of paperwork and ended up not getting anything because I had bought the Lowes warranty. I figured they could have at least covered the cost of the warranty since I had to purchase another one to cover the LG we replaced it with.

Can I rant just a sec? I mean, it's my own fv(k!ng fault - I know not to go there; but I wanted some hard to find items at the grocery (ready-made GF pie crust, Steen's Pure Cane Syrup, GF flour) so off to the new super-duper HEB in Plano (thick suburbia). It was packed with people just standing agape in the middle of aisles, choking on boogers, shitting themselves with indecision, human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together - - mass hysteria (rather, earth shattering torpidity). My faith in humanity took a big hit; and I learned that my nature is trending ever more sharply toward being people averse.

I should have ordered the Steen's and GF flour online, made my own pie crust, cracked my own pecans, and enjoyed my pie without those morons inhabiting a synapse while I eat it. I should have moved to expansive acreage and melted into the landscape. I should have my head examined. I will have a whiskey.

Only bright thing was a new '22 Tundra owner parked next to me intentionally, and gave me a nod as he headed in.

    <deep sigh> Thank you.

Sing it brother. Right there with you. I had a similar experience yesterday. Sent a text to my wife asking her to open a bottle of wine for when I got home.

I saw recently Sams club has some waygu-esque steaks that aren't horribly priced, will have to give them a shot one of these days.

Sliders and skids are on the list, but that's about it. Right now it's just extra dollars to restore the down payment I made on the Taco.

Leaning toward Cali Raised Cat skits/shields. The slider issues is a bit tougher on the taco than the Tundra. Everyone makes the Taco sliders at an angle, or weld on, or other hardcore options. I just want steps that are durable and bolt to the frame and don't hang down. Then there's the cost.... less than for the Tundra, but still more than I want to pay.

    What's HEB???

So, I'm getting through your first paragraph and thinking 'dude needs to treat himself to a couple of beers tonight'...

Get to the 2nd paragraph, 'good call: whiskey is even better', and your head is fine (no need to examine); just gotta lower your expectations of folks outside of your of trusted circles!

As you know RCI is a good company and their options for the Tacoma are great just like the Tundra. They offer 5 degree sliders with nice top plates. Caliraised has the "step edition" rock sliders which I'm assuming you saw already. Their Chinese lights they rebrand and sell for more aren't all that great but I believe the rest of their products are decent. If you wanted a trans skid that would play real well with your TRD skid CBI is an option although the price is eye-watering as are the rest of their products. Another slider option that not everyone knows kind of local to me is these: https://www.4xinnovations.com/2016-2023-Tacoma-Bolt-On-Sliders--ACLB-or-DCSB_p_166.html also these appear to be up your alley but haven't actually read anything about them: https://tacomabeast.com/collections...tacoma-double-cab-short-bed-revo-step-sliders Also, what skids do you plan on getting and is retaining the TRD skid important to you?

I'd look at the DeMello Hybrids...

    https://www.demello-offroad.com/tacoma-2016-2017-hybrid-bolt-on-sliders

Link says 2016-2017, but website shows through '22, so not sure if they'll work w/your '23. But, I'd imagine if they don't there is a product coming out shortly.

The Hybrids allow you to bolt in place like you would a traditional step; they seem to have good coverage and a traditional slider design; and if you choose to convert to a true 'slider' that will hold the weight of the truck, etc. then you drill/bolt into frame w/o removing them and you're good to go.

These are what I'm putting on my PRO.
