    Couldn't agree more. My philosophy is this. I don't have to accept one's dementia as normal and placate them. I'll allow them to define their own reality just so much as they allow me to do the same.

    Witness (friend) and others estimated speed of 100+ (in a posted 45)
    He crashed into the back of the truck and passed around an hour ago.

    Being 21 I do feel bad for he and his family. No plates on the bike either..and given the neighborhood, Im guessing its not stolen, but he recently got it. He was wearing a white shirt and red shorts. Im thinking he was a lifeguard on his way to work...but dude? can you not throw on a pair of jeans over the shorts at least?

    Get into the elevator with a lady. She not wearing any bluetooth and has both hands balancing her lunch from the cafeteria. Suddenly she chuckles and says “The button just flew off”.

    And I subconsciously dropped my right hand to my Spiderco…

    Yes, can feel bad for the family. Even if he was a spoiled brat no one should ever have to bury their own child.

    Still gonna like cuz 99% of the time the asshole walks away from death and carnage. Then we have to see pictures of him “breaking down” during the trial.

    I had a close friend of mine who witnessed a kid(early 20's) who bought the farm in front of his house. Young guy who he had seen doing crazy shit along that street many times before. My friend was there when it happened and was one of the first people on the scene.

    He was there with him until he passed and at some point the kid was shivering so my friend asked for the other bystanders to bring a blanket. Before the ambulance showed up the kid died.

    What sticks with me is the kids parents asked my friend what his last words were before he died. According to my friend he didn't have any and just felt cold and then died. He struggled with what to tell the parents and it bothered him.

    RIP to whomever this person was.

    Same. I cannot own a bike nor anything with high horsepower. A hellcat would be just as lethal. I am responsible enough to know that I am destined to drive NA 4 and 6 cylinders lol. Hell, almost every vehicle that I have driven that was capable of doing 130, I did 130 in, allegedly. Must stick with adequately powered Toyotas lol.
