I'm guessing they will be there just to 'protect' Federal property and officers... and will probably not even be allowed to contact or have any interaction with the protesters unless there is a need for self defense if miliatary personnel are attacked...

Agreed!!! It's real, it should be dealt with, and yes those who served are particularly prone to it, and we as a country should do much better at helpful folks transition through serving, deployments, etc. back into civilian life. Unfortunately, to the decision makers, other topics are more important and receive the funding first.

However, with that being said, zero excuses for extremely dark behavior toward another involved human being.

Many folks, probably at a much higher percentage than we realize struggle w/these issues, but regardless of the reason, source or justification that brought them to that place, it will never outweigh the right of children or anyone else around them to have to succumb or be victimized as part of the fallout..
