I still follow the weather of where I lived in Arizona. I like to look it up when I begin to feel a bit nostalgic for the Grand Canyon State.

Current forecast of where I lived in Arizona (My Arrakis, My Dune...) :

Current forecast of where I am currently at in NorCal:

I miss Arizona but not that much...

My best friend in the early 1980s had a Hispanic Catholic wedding and I was his best man.
    That was a long ordeal.
They are still married 40-something years later..

I've only dated a couple of Hispanic chicks in my days.
One thing I learned is that they are EXTREMELY jealous of anything, even things they make up in their heads.

    Ref Billy Idol:
Ref S2000 (and manuals in general)
    :facepalm::facepalm:

Musical differences I will generally give a pass, unless someone wants to show love to Madonna or Bieber. This one is borderline though. Billy Idol was/is a badass. Still touring at 69 with Joan Jett! :headbang:
Manuals are gross?? Now that's over the line and worthy of man card revocation. :burnrubber:

Been a huge Dune fan since childhood. Saw the 80's movie and then read the books all the way to God Emperor of Dune. I really enjoyed the two recent films.

I sometimes put the Sardaukar chant scene on repeat for 10 minutes just taking in the sound and ambiance of it.

Denis Villeneuve always has great cinematography and atmosphere in his films. Blade Runner 2049 & Sicario were other films of his I really enjoyed.

On a related note…my grass is so green and is growing nice and thick. Been fertilizing just before it rains each day. I bet I have one of the greenest, well trimmed yards on the block

I might have finally figured out how to do a Costco run without feeling the need to kill every single person I see there.

Get up reasonably early on the weekend and arrive at Costco before the official opening time, they have the doors open anyways. I was able to wait in the tire center to grab a new battery for the wife's car, wander around the store to shop and get some needed shit and a chicken for dinner tonight, and no waiting at checkout. Filled the truck without having to wait for an open pump, and drive back home all within about an hour.

I have a similar yard on my block I'm more than a little proud of. All the credit for which goes to my wife though, she has the green thumb.
I just mow it. Speaking of which....time to get out and mow before it starts raining here.

I mow it every 4 days
Fertilize anytime weather is gonna call for it
I have it on a smart system for watering so it goes off of soil levels and weather

seems to do the trick. Other people drive me nuts with lazy ass yards. They spent all together money on a nice house and yards are garbage. Driveways filled with weeds growing everywhere. I don’t get it

This ALMOST makes me want to get a Costco membership. The problem is the closest one is right next to my work. Which means, either I go after work on a weekday when it's an absolute zoo, or I use your plan, go early on the weekend, which means essentially driving into work an extra day, which would kinda suck, but might be worth it.

I let my Sam's club membership go years ago because I didn't get there often enough and for similar reasons to yours. Essentially "People of Wal Mart" amped up.

There are two flavors of Costco patrons that drive me nuts. The reunion contingent, those that reconnect with long lost family and friends whilst clogging the passageways of the store like a cheesecakes fiends arteries. Then you get the herd of grazers that clump up around a sampling station like white blood cells destroying bacterial infections...

That was another bonus of going early like I did, no sample stations out yet. Thus, no grazing idiots clogging up the aisles.
