I would say a solid 80% of the communication with my dad via texting is him using the thumbs up emoji

    Same, sort of.

When my son is in the house? He gets his butt up and comes to me, or vice vs., so we can have an actual conversation.

When he's out, I'm fine with emojis and the like unless I need actual information from him. LOL

In other words, I've managed to semi-successfully teach him that texting, calling, face-to-face conversations...it's all contextual. Texting your boss "LOL IKR" isn't kosher unless you're best buds with him, or something.

Consequently, I consistently get comments such as "You know, your son is amazingly well rounded and grounded for his age, and can easily have a conversation with people 2-3x his age." :)

We had casual Friday’s at one place I worked. I would rock a Hawaiian shirt every Friday as a symbolic celebration to the end of the workweek.

I am starting to see tampon dispensers in the mens room now. Not at work (not yet), but more public locations.

Recycled TP and tampons…these are the most urgent issues today apparently

I think most keep their tires inflated at max PSI and that completely destroys the ride. I drop 10psi out in the winter when I am not hauling and it helps a lot. But still not a butter-ride.

A buddy just bought a F-450 for his daily. He’s retired, goes almost nowhere and hauls nothing more than a few bags of mulch from the local hardware store. Go figure

Our teen girls can be real assholes to us sometimes and we think, my goodness, are we that awful at being parents. But then whenever they go somewhere overnight with friends or traveling with their sports teams we get similar feedback. That they are so polite, respectful and kind. At least we got them to respect others...

Sounds like your wearing a towel designed as a shirt. Is that even comfortable in the humid hotness you live in?

Depends on the type of travel you're doing. I still use my back bag and dakine gear hauling bag for carry on and checked luggage. Dakine makes some pretty good stufff in my opinion. I've had my gear bag for almost 15/16 years now. I also have a dakine snowboard bag that has seen better days, but that thing is going on damn near 30 years and has seen a lot of use in both truck beds and air travel.

here's something similar to my gear bag. Although I think my model is called the split roller, which has compartments for gear and clothes separately. https://www.steepandcheap.com/dakine-365-roller-120l-gear-bag-dakz7gy

My wife and kids all like rollers for both their carry on's and checked. Wife had a smaller eagle creek and there are lots of pockets for organizing all her cosmetics, hair crap and various other women things. But eagle creek is proud of their stuff. Something's like this:https://www.steepandcheap.com/eagle-creek-tarmac-xe-4-wheel-carry-on-bag

Edit and PS: steep and cheap is usually a great discount storefront for backcountry.com and they always have flip flops on sale...

Completely destroys the ride, and likely, completely unnecessarily so.
<--running on 80 psi max rated, 10 ply/E-load Coopers at 35-40 psi with no load. Tires wearing normally so far and barely noticeable change in ride quality from the Mildpeaks on 20's that preceded them.

    The Dirty T ( ^_^)_且

My year round attire is tank top, basketball style elastic shorts, and slides/sandals. If a cold winter storm rolls in I'll switch the tank top for a T-shirt and the shorts for sweat pants and Skechers slip on shoes.

Unless I'm at work, then it's business casual. Stupid dumb ass uppity dress code crap.

I've caught several coworkers on video meetings doing the same thing I do. Switch my comfy Toyomafia ball cap out for one with a company logo, and cover my random tattered T-shirt with a jogging jacket with a company logo on it. In 47 minutes when the meeting ends (or in 1.5 hours, depending on chatty coworkers), I get to be me again.
