I am not sure how to describe what I am feeling, but wrung out is a start. Apathetic and indifferent are two more that partially apply.

You sleeping well? I have gotten great sleep for a while now so that means you probably are not…

 

Yes I have but it is entirely my own fault. I ate a crap ton of broccoli on Wed/Thur/Fri that basically backed me up to the point I became severely bloated. I still kind of am but it has gotten better as of this morning.

What sucked about the bloating was that it was so severe it made laying down to sleep uncomfortable so I didn't get much sleep Saturday & Sunday night.

 

Yup.
Some of it is self-inflicted and I need to do better (diet, sleep habits, more exercise) and some of it is environmental. Lots of wildfire smoke coming down from lately.

 

Again, I'm deleting a post I had all typed out.
I understand no one cares, and people get offended if I post an opinion..

Sleep has been okay, but not a lot of it. That might be it.

The small things... Nothing like being excited to sit on the couch and talk to not one fv(king soul, or being able do an obnoxious chore without interruption, to remind you that you're fully adult.

 

a little gratuitous humble brag... I only had one kid, and he was as chill as they come the entire time he was growing up. No terrible twos, no threenagers, and even though I joke about it differently, his opinion of my intelligence dipped only slightly as he was hitting adolescence.

If our kids' behavior is supposed to be comeuppance for our behavior when we were young, I juked Karma like Barry Sanders.

When do the girls get hard to raise in your opinion?

 

I made that same mistake. On a positive note.....I am reading a lot more than I used to.

she is 3 years younger than my son, and she was running circles around him @ 3yrs old.


They are 21 & 24 now.

 

Nope...I'm on day 6 of a water fast and feel great. Drinking almost 2 gallons of water a day so stomach always has something in it.

I haven't raised any boys but I can attest that girls can be hard to raise at times. I'm currently in the I know everything teenage years.

 

Lucky... I'm apparently raising my ex husband

 

I have found that it is when they are in middle school.

 

We have 2 girls as well. At the age of 13 is when the difficulties started. No more little angles in our house.

 

ours didn't "equalize" till she was 18-ish.

now, he's pulling ahead.

I reckon being out in the wild does that to young men.

I couldn't be prouder of either one of them.


I can see me and my wife's genetics in them as they mature.


it's hard work raising good humans.

 

My girls are a handful, in different ways. Both sweethearts though

11yo is emotional, I have to be gentle with her.

9yo takes after her dad, questions all authority and doesn't gaf.

 

My 17yo (according to her Dad's mom) is acting JUST like he did in HS. Skipping classes, sneaking out, being disrespectful.... Being an ass quite honestly.

My almost 12yo just wants to be like her sister do bad and the disrespect come out every once in a while, but she fixes herself real quick, unlike her damn sister.

 

Well, let them get their panties all bunched then.
