I'm simply not into generalizing things. True, nothing is what it once was. Things change. Lots of things are still made well and not so well anymore. I posted two pics of USA, well made Danner boots, but apparently not as good anymore without any specific reason other than customer service which I take with a grain of salt that's all.

I was just saying that my comment had nothing to do with boots in general. Legitimately, I was thinking about people when I posted it. How people change and turn into something else from the time they enter your life until you realize you need to move on.

We don't have Big R's here, but we do have Runnings. (Listed as an Outdoor Revival retailer on their website.)
Nearest one to me is 30 miles.
Pulled up Running's website and they only show the smaller, non-wheeled coolers, and a little one is $150.

 

Not taking it personally at all. I already mentioned that Danner, like many other companies have some overseas operations to provide a cheaper alternative. Quality will be different. I only buy Portland made Danners. I'm simply stating my point that my current USA made Danner's are still top notch. Leather, stitching, soles, and re-craftable if needed. Good stuff. What do you see lacking with the USA made boots that I'm missing? What makes them not what they used to be? Simply curious. I'm quite calm actually.

I like my job. I just wish I didn't have to spend 8+ hours a day doing it. Waking up at 4:30 is great!

For the record, I will be going to work tomorrow, and every other weekday except holidays and vacation time, for the next 6 years and 19 days. Not that I'm counting.

Our dog's nose was really dry and cracked for some reason so we've been putting Polysporin on it. He licks it off but it still seems like it's been helping.

 

Been using this. Prolly works but she licks it off. Ha!

 

Outdoor Revival is the new kid in town. A 75 is $250 with no wheels. A bargain compared to Yeti and I'm a Yeti fanboy. Was. See if Running's can special order a wheeled 75. $300, but not bad compared to the top well known brands.
