I get that. When companies don’t support you, and can care less- that’s the time to exit. I’m also incentivized to close deals in addition based on margin; even if I wasn’t - I still would. It’s just built in me and I have a loyal following, respect and support for a reason.

I see you picked up the APS boards, nice.
I forget what part of the country you're in. Rust belt / salt state?
If I might make a suggestion: Give the steel mounting brackets a good coating of the rust preventative coating of your choice when/before you install.
Mine started showing surface rust relatively quickly.
I'll be taking them off, blasting, powdercoating and probably some rubberized undercoating / HercuLiner type stuff over the top of that.

I'm in Wyoming. Not a lot of salt, but it's still a good idea.

I went with them because of your pictures and because they are aluminum. Sure, I'd love to have the OEM, but I can go through 5 sets of these for the same price. Utter insanity.

For those that work from home and it's linked to all my work accounts and laptop, .gov email, VPN, chat, sheets, etc., etc. Also, they ditched most desk phones for when in the office. It's kind of a state wide thing and a great way to waste taxpayer money.

Prior to retirement the last 24'ish years I carried a work pager/cell for being reached after hours. It is so freaking amazing and liberating to be freed from that shit. Never ever again!!!

Yeah, I used to thrive on the need to be needed. And to be able fix shit that most couldn't. I kept a go bag packed for things like, you need to go to Guam tomorrow. No more, my phone is on DND from 10 to 10, and most of the time I don't even know where it is. It was fun, exciting and rewarding, but I don't miss it at all.

Positive outcome from a Stealership? :monocle:
A few weeks ago my wife brought her Forester in for an oil change and tire rotation at 45k., too busy right now to do it myself, so I said go for it I'll check it out when you get home. She also had a slow leak in the L/R tire I asked her to have them check. She ended up with the oil change/rotation and they said they found a leak and plugged it. Total was like $225.00. While there, they told her she needed rear pads and rotors and two new rear tires, quote was like $1350.00. Hold on said I, Thats Fuckery at its highest level, I'll do it myself and save some doe. When I went out to check out the job I noticed the rear tire was still pretty low and the tires weren't rotated, big problem. Went down there myself pretty pissed and explained my frustration with being charged for a rotation that never happened, and a plug that never held. To my surprise, they admitted to everything they did wrong, and as a repeat customer of theirs for many years promised to make it right. They said they would replace all 4 tires, rear rotors and pads and an alignment for $1200.00. Can't be pissed even though the Tech screwed up. I'm getting soft in my old age. :)

Dude, that's pretty good. I get that a shop can't control every tech at every moment, and some will try to cut corners. At least they owned it and are making efforts to do right by you. That's all that you can really ask for these days.

So... if you're driving 70mph, and it takes you about 4 hours to get 275 miles; then you have to sit for an hour and charge, it's now taken you 5 hours to travel 275 miles, or essentially you traveled the electric vehicle equivalent of 55 mph

Because most of us don't want to be doing work productivity, etc... on our perosnal phones. Some of us are/were in positions that were either sensitive or had a high probability of litigation... in that world the last thing you want is to have your personal phone snatched up as evidence and then every call, text, search, contact, etc. be part of discovery

Though the math is sound, I think the premise is off. The charge rate was 275 Miles added Per Hour. I don't think he charged for an hour. Also, that was a slower charger.

For a long road trip there is no doubt that an ICE can do it quicker, and so it would definitely be my preference. Short range commuting an EV makes sense though.

If the Slate hits it's goal price I would have to consider it if I were to ever get a second vehicle. My 2.9 mile commute isn't good for an ICE.

Here we are right back to pizza and a F$ck???

You ask right up front, and if she complains to HR, just respond to the complaint with... "I'm so sorry she misunderstood me... I simply said, 'Best birthday meal ever... Pizza or duck'???

    If she doesn't complain... :jellydance:
