About 10 hours of sleep the last two days. Between getting up early for a flight, and then early again for the gym based on work meetings...

Na, probably try to squeeze a couple more years out of the current one. I'd really like to pay off my mortgage before having a car loan again.
Although I'm sure @LarryDangerfield will tell me that is a stupid financial decision.

Being short on sleep sucks, but it doesn't really hit home until you get sick because you're worn down. That's when you really pay the price. Hope you get more sleep tonight!

Oh, and I've got to try and grab a pic or two of some rear suspension 'articulation' w/the RAS on... Another member was concerned that it would limit travel too much :notsure:

I am on nights until Wednesday morning at 0600 Mountain Time.

Take some beauty shots of the the '08 too! Heck, do like @T-Rex266 does and give us before and after shots.

What kind of shnazzy optics do you get to play with? Obviously understand you cant post pics of your friend/client's pews because of the terrible boating accident, but I can google up the glass. :)

Isn't the RAS pretty easy to install/uninstall? If you really need mac articulation you shouldn't be loaded with anything that the RAS is required for, so you should be able to take it off with basic tools for the trail, no?

Yes, fairly easy to install, but I wouldn't want to take the set up on and off every time I was doing something off road...

My point to that guy was that his rear sway bar will limit articulation more than the RAS will. I don't have a rear sway bar on my Pro, so the RAS helped provide a little rake for me as it was a little squatted w/the bed loaded at normal running weight for me. The RAS set on the thin disc brought me to a point of just above level (in the rear), and it also calmed the vehicle sway down quite a bit while cornering on the highway... The Pro suspension is super nice for most of our rutted gravel roads, fire service style trails, and general turn out along the 101 (which can be horrendous at times), but it's nice to have a bit more stability when operating at hwy speeds along the road as we have a lot of twisty, windy, roads here.

To install and unstall the RAS you do have to remove a leaf spring bracket to get the hook over the eyelet, and you have to unload the rear suspension to full droop to install properly. So, although it's not difficult, it can be a little time consuming to mess with and get dialed in if you installing and uninstalling the set up all the time...

I'm pretty sure Casey had his RAS on his Pro last year at T2S and said he didn't notice any reduction in travel/articulation (even while doing broken arrow). But, I'd image there has to be some minimal pre-load to the system...

PS>>> I'm not about to get detail shamed for lack of effort (no before and afters) :anonymous:

Living on the coast and on a dirt road means any efforts will be quickly diminished by mother nature and a single pass from the house to the road... The '08 will be getting a spray with soap, quick wipe down, and then a rinse...

Drying will be handled by hwy speeds and windshield wipers :D

Oh, then it's a bit more involved than I thought. I was under the impression that it was just a couple bolts without any worry for loading and such.

I wouldn't think it'd have a drastic impact on the articulation, though. Sway bar on the other hand will absolutely restrict it. That's why the 4Runners had/have the KDSS option, but even that seems kinda gimmicky to me.
