Got to stay away from dairy during an infection... The antibiotic you're on doesn't have an issue with it, but... dairy increases mucous and phlegm, which is counter productive to reducing your symptoms right now!!!

Honestly, if it thickened it a bit I might be able to cough/blow it out. Right now it's so thin that I don't get much movement with coughs, sneezes, or blowing my nose.

I'll also add the advice of no dairy right now. If you're going to eat honey, try a teaspoon of Manuka honey. It's like choosing a tundra over a Chevy. It's really that much better. No cap.

What is "Manuka honey" that makes it different?

It's has to do with its chemical makeup (MGO) and it being more potent. Which in turn give it higher properties of healing. I know it may sound like a bunch of woo-ooo hippie marketing, but I can attest it kills infections and boosts immune systems. It just plain works. One can find ridiculous prices on it, but I usually buy the natural grocers or whole food brands. No need to spend more than $20-25 on a jar. Seek out a natural market in your town.

Yeah, we don't have any whole foods or natural grocers within an hour of where I live. Think more like Smith's, Wal-mart, or possibly Alberston's, and all of those are at least 45 minutes to an hour away. Would they carry it? Also, I'm not willing to drive 2 hours round trip when I'm working nights.

I really really do appreciate the info, though. I'll look into it as something to maybe have on hand for next time, but I don't think it's feasible this time around.

I would guess that at least one of those grocery stores has a decent selection of "natural remedies," it would be found in there somewhere. You could also get something off the web if that saves you the time. Hope you can kill this infection sooner rather than later.

Albertson's in Vegas used to carry it, but they've merged and stuff since.... so, not sure about what all they are carrying now.

I stumbled into a third gen forum today. :anonymous:Not sure why, but I got tangled up in a discussion over what a crew cab was. Just wanted to let @1lowlife know that I'm now understanding why he gets into arguments over trivial bs. Those clowns want to argue over anything. Including calling the trucks ford model names.

If there weren’t any rules, I would discuss our flamboyantly homosexual waiter we had at Texas Roadhouse

He was the best waiter we’ve ever had

My concern for you here is that you're eating at a Texas Roadhouse. Not whether or not your wife got caught you flirting with the waiter. :eek2:

    Thank you for understanding.
It is their lack of self-awareness and their denial of possibly of being wrong about something that I just cannot stand.
Although I'm getting better with it since I've been off work, drinking less beer, and nibbling on pain pills from surgery rehab.

It happens more and more that I'll type something out, reread it, and delete it.
    I'm beginning to realize that:
    1. It's just not worth the effort and negativity on my part.
    2. No one gives a shit about my opinions.
    3. It's embarrassing to have a mod tell me to cool it.

That being said, I'm very likely to give in at any time and go off on someone...:eek2::cool:

Haha. I can identify with rule number 1. 2 and 3, well that's up for debate. I even did what you said and almost responded a few times but eventually erased it before I took it that far. When you do go off on someone, tag me, I'll come over to help dissipate the heat from you.

The 3rd gen forum is a "special" place...I literally joined this site a couple of years back just to follow the launch of the 3rd gen and people's experiences with it and ultimately stayed for everything else but 3rd gen related stuff.

Maybe when Toyota definitively gets the 3rd gen sorted out people will chill out in the 3rd gen threads. No offense to my 3rd gen brothers and sisters but folks get heated over there over the smallest thing...

Probably only applicable to future autos - not sure it's something you could retro without the manufacturer's participation.

The article at the 'Best Dash Cams' link in that article was decent. I want something with a more secure storage device than just a MicroSD card - something remote to all the cams. I've been looking at BlackVue, but it's pretty pricey for a 3 channel + DVR.

Jay: As someone that spends a fair amount of time in the 3rd gen forum, I'm not seeing the same level of argumentative-ness(?) that you're seeing. Am I just blind to it because it's "normal" there and it doesn't even register anymore? I don't know. Crew Cab vs Crew Max though? Is it really THAT big of a deal? I get it from the standpoint of proper use of naming conventions or whatever, but they DO mean the same thing.
(On the flip side, he did contradict himself once on the Double Cab / Crew Cab thing and was either clueless about it, or wouldn't admit it.)

    Here's what I know:
I stumbled into the Off-Topic area a while ago and started interacting with you lot, primarily in this thread. I would say I've been welcomed and treated well. I like youse guys, quite a bit actually.
I mean, where else can you talk about sex dolls, goat roping and Tyler's love life (or lack thereof, sorry man) all in one place? :D
Similar interests, life experiences and all that. Love the banter and the humor, keeps me coming back.

I've noticed that 3rd genners are somewhat under represented around these parts. Why might that be? Food for thought maybe?
I know there are a fair amount of other old farts such as myself in the 3rd gen ranks, but I don't see too many of them here? Not that all you guys are all old farts....but quite a few. ;)
Observation: I know there are several 3rd gen owners that don't put any reference of their 3rd gen truck in their postings. Seems a little odd, but whatever.
I'd like to think we're not ALL assholes, or thin-skinned.

With all that said, I will agree that while there are some first class, grade-A, top shelf, argumentative, never-wrong numb nuts floating around the 3rd gen forum, they are the minority.
Quite a few of us are normal, decent human beings. OK, maybe not normal.

    *steps off soap box*

We now return to your regularly scheduled shenanigans.
