Whatever this forum told me to do
    This.

Hospitals & densely populated apartment complexes breed social service dependency.

concentrating, not necessarily to die, but to survive, for free, off the gov dole.

    its been instilled/taught for generations.

    Austin Tx is ruined.

    Houston, TX is ruined.

    both, literally, have no-go zones.

I do live far enough to not be directly affected....but, we are now surrounded by "all that". it's only a matter of time.

We moved here because zoning does not allow multi-family dwellings & home must be >3k SqFt.

If we stay on the present course, thing may improve in the next few years.
it will be painful....insert storming, norming, performing graph.

They’re going to where they can, to die as slowly as possible, which is a common goal. Until they are put somewhere else, I assume efficiently.

Perfect example. I took this pic a few minutes ago driving to the office. A group of homeless, one of them dancing around a fire he lit on the ground of a park.

Edit, fire cut out on pic, but it's there.

Speaking as someone who lived in Surprise, AZ for 5 years (West Valley, Maricopa County), Tuscon had a reputation of being the Arizona version of Berkeley/Oakland of California amongst the native and long term Arizonan's I interacted with. Not surprised you see that kind of craziness on the way to work.

In many places in California if you venture out of the touristy areas you will see stuff like that. You end up with enclaves of very expensive communities with their private security, middle class neighborhoods that are semi-safe but crime bleeds into and everywhere else.

It's sad to see what Denver has become. I used to skate all over downtown as a youth. Now I won't go near most of it at night. And if I do, I'll be packing.

Florida is another example. Moving home from Texas, I didnt expect much.. but it was absolutely crazy seeing people march on bridges in Fort Worth, all of 15 minutes away from an area where they would have been shot for doing so.

Then Florida... St. Pete turned... different. Lots of Marches, graffiti and bs... but also a major tourist and local town. Tampa is gone, Jax is gone, Miami has been gone.. and others..

Thankfully, this state has so many opportunities to get away from the noise. Like my property. I have a tractor running in the back 40 and a forklift in the front 40... meanwhile I am trying to figure a way to get rid of evidence before inspectors arrive.

We are 10,816 here.. and located in a county of 17,465. lots of large lots so we are all spread out.

I love it. i am not in love with some of the people and their mentalities, but I love being out here.

In my condo in St. Pete (263,553) we would hear gun shots and get away from windows for a bit. Here we hear them and smile knowing someone is filling a freezer or having fun.

Tweakers who can’t/won’t get jobs and/or are too far gone in the head. It’s brutal out there. It will be interesting to see how this is handled. There’s only so much a society can do. Lots to sort out that’s for sure.

I’ve started tucking in my hipster shirts, just in case the cops get the wrong idea and I end up concentrated somewhere.

    Among the many...USAID.

I hope we get to find out the true economy of the drug trade & how certain aspects of our gov fund it.

back in the 80's....Cocaine built Miami.

ponder what the drug trade is building now.

BILLIONS are flowing every month into our country.

I imagine it would floor us to see who devours that cash.

because, like it or not, the cash is getting devoured by someone.

I know most of us hate the EPA, but seriously.....

The absolute overreach they are doing across the vehicle industry is disgusting... yes the turbo small engine thing is annoying, but they are truly destroying the diesel market... and the thing I love most is all government vehicles (that I had access too) came to us deleted... but God forbid you try to make your personal one run longer.

I'm just now catching up on the last 15 pages. Had a long weekend and didn't do internet things.

Lot's of good movies listed here. LOTS.

But, I'm super disappointed that no one mentioned one of the best movies ever made.

    Jackie Brown.

I spent a significant amount of time this last weekend trying to get some organization done in my garage. I was able to finally get two of the 4 garage cabinets assembled and installed. Something I could not physically do previously because of my torn bicep and recovery. And then immediately started putting stuff away. It's still a disaster zone but I can see progress and can at least find some of the stuff that I've been looking for.

That's my KTM 990 Adventure. The motorcycle I have owned the longest out of 30ish in my lifetime. It still puts a huge smile on my face every time I ride it.
Fun fact, there is actually another bike in the picture but it has some stuff on top of it.

Agreed. I generally like Tarantino movies, but having sat through Jackie Brown once I'll never watch it again. Total snoozefest.
