64?!?!?! You must be -2 years old.

No matter, the years will go quicker than you can imagine.
The individual days, some of those will feel like 64 years.

Shit, both of my daughters are middle aged women, who saw that coming?

When they say 1 packet to up to 32oz of water, BELIEVE THEM

I found this out the hard way.

I now put half a packet into a big coffee mug, and I love it. Chocolate Salt flavor served hot. So good!

Allowed. Otherwise all the zoomers with 3rd gens would call for a timeout and safe space thread.

Hyperbole, yes; but I won't be able to retire for quite some time (and keep my wife at the standard of living she's grown accustomed to). Realistically 10+ years, but not 20. Being in tech, even as a manager, and being in my late 50's, I'm not going to be able to keep this job that long, so I'm clearing my voice for saying "welcome to WalMart' and brushing up on my bus driving skills.

Thanks for this. Wife is having low sodium probs and needs the added salt. Hopefully she'll like it (not hate it) enough to stick with it.

Not from me because you know where I live. :D

I might need a timeout because I’m painting and installing all this damn wood moulding to keep my wife happy.

2024 has been an epiphany on the truck front because I stopped caring about my truck. I used to be Mr. wax on/wax off with my past Toyotas. Detailing, cleaning, etc. Now, who cares. Goodbye hex logic pads. Who gives AF!!! Where’s my damn chai, I need a warmup.

Tech definitely has a very low age limit. Re-orgs with RIFs seem to conveniently catch those older (and more expensive) employees

    Here's another option...

    https://zipfizz.com/

My wife hates water, but will drink it w/one of these in it... I'd actually double the water to zipfizz ratio just to thin it out a bit

Costco sells a pretty good sampler pack, but I think the pink lemonade is the best (I tried them all w/the wife)... Her favorite is watermelon

Don't know about TX and WA, but the people around here could sure use some help

Oh wait, I do know about WA, and yes those folks are in serious need as well :D

Thank you. Those LMNT packets add 1000mg sodium, and that's the component she needs most.

Trying to google some math on what 1000mg sodium even is. Looks like maybe 1/2 teaspoon of salt could be added to almost anything and make it wholly unpalatable and healthy for her. She'll like the ceremony of opening a packet and mixing it, though; so maybe that's the balm she needs.

Her refined palate? Beef Jerky? Tsk.

If it were me, I'd just spoon some table salt in my mouth and be done with it, but we'll have to find a more Pumpkin-Spice-Latte method for her.

I'll go ahead an break the seal on everyone's 12 year old boy - and thank you all for your level of restraint knowing it's my sweet wife you'd be talking about...

I know something salty that would help.

    The Dirty T ( ^_^)_且

Kind of the same for me. I'm in my 50s and couldn't do my previous job, so I ended up at a low end Gubment desk job. It's really hard to believe if you know me, but technically I'm a social worker (human services is part of my job title) which makes no sense because I hate people.
I should take your idea and start those driving lessons.

I'm kinda the same about people. Couldn't care less about most, and crowds spark homicidal thoughts... I had a job at IRS when I was younger, taking calls from justifiably angry people the IRS had failed or abused. It taught me a lot about 'human services' and how to talk to people who weren't having any of my IRS bullshit speak.

Hey, maybe IRS would take me back. I had 3 1/2 years there, which makes me a priority rehire for life. Except Elon is going to shame congress into forcing people back into the office, and that homicidal thoughts problem will rear it's beautiful head...
