It must be my long walk to work and back that's killing the environment. Because I'm putting less than 8k a year on my gas guzzling truck, and heating my home with firewood.

I debated posting this at all, as last time I posted about a loss you pricks sent me a gift. I hate gifts. They fuck with my anxiety. Don't. Just don't.

I'm still processing, and I'm at work so it's mostly muted and set aside, but I got some sad news today. My eldest sister passed away earlier today. Love her tons and will miss her, but it's also not a huge shock. She had a couple heart attacks in the past, and we are all getting to the age where we start burying the ones we love. I am not sharing this for sympathy or "poor you"s, but as a bit of a reminder to let your family know what they mean to you. Call that sibling or parent you haven't talked to this week. Tell them you love them.

I wish. Corn is the most over subsidized farming crop. I actually used that website you linked months ago trying to find ethanol free gas near me. Nothing within 70 miles. I buy premium (91) for my small engines and also mix a small amount of octane booster in it.

 

Mine isn't. Gasoline is cleaner than coal.

I wasn't going to say anything but we lost my FIL a couple weeks ago, a week after finding out he had aggressive liver cancer/ failure & kidney failure. It's been rough around here but my wife is improving every day. I'm happy she got to say goodbye and tell him how much she loved him.

That's a huge bummer. It's also a bunch of crap after the studies show that ethanol fuel doesn't help anything. It's a waste of money. They should scrap that and then the farm land can be used for more important stuff than corn. Like race tracks.

That sucks man. I'm sorry for your family's loss. I understand the not saying anything part. We all go through it and know what it's like, and most just don't want to be prodded, but I felt like I was hiding something by not saying anything.


Though I almost went full bastard to guilt @Tundras.com Forum Santa for calling me salty. Was going to say "My sister died today, so I can be salty if I want to." Probably should have. My sister was a tease-bucket and loved to "harass" everyone for a laugh. She would have approved seizing the opportunity for a dark humor joke.

Typically only vehicles that did not have rear seats from the factory will have a physical disable got the front seat airbags. Most modern vehicles have a weight sensor, and if they sense weight under a certain threshold will turn off the airbag
