My HOA meeting did NOT go well.

in '23 I put in a request to change my boat cover - denied.

last month - a BOARD member made the same request - Approved.

the rest went as expected.


as y'all have said....HOA's SUCK.

Better to ask for forgiveness than permission with those clowns. I'd just change it out as you see fit.

dumbass had it in his back yard....not knowing where it went.

I offered to place it back in it's original location.

 

I sent a wonderfully worded memo to all residents asking the HOA to explain.

now the back-tracking has begun.

Today is wife's birthday so I get to do my least favorite activity she absolutely loves. Heading to some hot springs to hang out in a tub with a bunch of strangers.

Had my first taste of HOA's when I lived in Arizona. The amount of times my residence got mixed up with another for whatever violation they were claiming led me to promise myself to never live in an HOA neighborhood again.

I’ve lived in the this neighborhood for almost 20 years and have seen the HOA struggle with their role, as new board members roll in with their naive ideas and enforcement hard ons. I’ve explained a few things to them when they need training, and then they see the big picture again and focus on their own problems. For some reason they leave me alone. Go get em.
