Yeah I think my MIL might be a bit cougaresk, but she doesn't mean to be. My FIL's parents retired up there and are from Wisconsin, and then he bought the property from the estate when they passed away. He's a good guy. He's a pilot, air force trained, flew bombers. Now he flies for Southwest, getting ready to retire. Good lord, his hourly pay rate, it's insane. I mean, he paid his dues, but damn. I would trust him to recover a plane from a bad situation, so I get it. Anyway I love that area, more than the desiccated high plains desert here in NOCO. Mostly what I get with a passion here is wind, when it isn't pummeling Wyoming.

 

It's always windy in Wyoming because Nebraska sucks and Idaho blows.

Had about 12-14” down here so far and at least another 1.5” after a brief let up this afternoon. I need a snow blower.

 

Got a coworker headed to Red Rocks (think that’s what she said) for a two day concert this weekend. She’s excited for the “laser show in the snow”.

 

My commute tonight
The first two miles took 10 minutes. Then I dragged the brake for the next 30. 8mph was hauling ass.

Took another 10 minutes to clear the accident…

That makes me cold just thinking about it. I’d be bringing electric long underwear to that, if they make that. Or I’d dance a lot.

anyway, red rocks is really interesting, reading about the history of it on Wikipedia a while back. I remember that Bassnector is the only band that was banned due to damaging the facility.
