recently seen some very good shows - Matchbox 20, Eagles, Michael Buble, Seal, Satriani/Vai.


but....and this is a sad state of affairs...

the very best concert I seen was Van Halen 1984 tour.
nothing, as of yet, could touch that for sheer talent & showmanship.

any concert of Rush would be a very close 2nd.

 

Best showmanship for me was any one of the 4 Iron Maiden concerts I've been to.

Best all around good time was John Fogerty. Just a guy with a guitar on stage playing CCR classics for 2 hours.

 

Haven’t told the wife yet, but I am probably done with concerts all together. The quantity of man-children power drinking, vacuuming smoking weed and then getting into fights was epic. It was wave after wave of this chit. Phuk that.

Daughter is off to first day of high school today. First time I have ever been nervous…

Big rant here but I can't get into all the details without getting a ban. Not only does the Va care suck, they booted out any vets who earn too much. So it's basically Va care for the low income earners unless you have a disability that keeps you in their system.

 

Wasn't my first concert but I also saw def leopard on the pryomania tour. My first concert was Neil diamond.

I saw Godsmack open for Metallica back in the early ‘00. Can’t stand them ever since. Horrible show; wanted to strangle the singer. Cocky POS

For sure. I was 15 when I saw Billy Idol in concert. I didn't get a handful of boob but I did get to see a few pairs with my own eyes for the first time.

 

Well it has been a wild ride but I sold my safe and my Golf Cart today. Loved them both but the replacements are needed and these two out grew their mission

My first kiss/ handful of was pretty memorable. Summer of '92 in England, I was 10 and she was 15.

Stupid crush got the best of me on that one..

 

Only been to 4 concerts/festivals. Metallica was my first concert. Whatever year St. Anger came out. Then Warped Tour in '09, another band I can't remember (wound up being a mini festival) later that year, and then Metallica again in 2018.

There's a few others I'd go see, but trying to work schedules with friends to go with is difficult.
