I always like to tuck my dress shirt in if I'm wearing one, even with jeans. But I'm old school like that.

 

Top button open. Other one(s) buttoned. No one at work needs a look at my chest hair.

 

Jeans, steel toed boots, white t shirt, hat, safety glasses and ear plugs as a minimum for me.

 

I almost always tuck shirt in and wear belt with jeans almost never in shorts
I spend a lot of time on my knees at work (HA HA ) like you said earlier they wear out quick
The last few years I've been taking my new jeans to the Chinese lady at the local dry cleaner and having her sew reinforcement patches inside the knees she only charges $10

 

I got an extra hardhat if need it
