My buddy has one. I got to shoot it along with the Mark III he has. He's not a fan as it stove pipes on him a lot. When I shot it I had no issue, though. I do like that it's a 20 round mag, but I had more fun with the Ruger. IDK either. Can't put my finger on it exactly, but it felt more like shooting and the Sig was very subdued feeling. I love the ergos on Sigs and I own a couple.

Yeah it’s not a stellar 22 from what I’ve heard, just decent. I wanted a 22 that would be similar feel to a Sig 9mm.

    Glock always works.

Jokes aside, the super reliability of glock was a huge thing when polymer pistols had issues, but now? Everything made by a reasonably decent manufacturer goes bang every time. Glocks are fine, but I have two issues with them.
    1. The grip angle is not comfortable for me. Everyone else uses the 1911 angle and I'm used to it. Not willing to figure out a new one.
    2. The price. They're no more expensive than other pistols, but they also offer nothing for the price that others actively compete for. What's the first thing every Glock owner does? Change everything on the pistol to make it more comfortable and shoot better.

    well, hang on there....

folks that know....change nothing on a glock. they get a decent holster, that's it.

all the skinny-pant wearing wanna-be's hang all that stupid shit off the gun....and/or fiddle with the trigger and barrel.

when I want to flex at the range , I generally do it with my 2011. or the sexy Sig P210.

I agree..1911's are way easier to shoot. I just don't like the maintenance part.

    and you can't IWB a 1911. well, I can't.

    and if i had my druthers - I'd get a platypus 2011.

1911 upper - high cap lower that uses glock mags.

maybe when I get a real job.

I was not saying I prefer a 1911. It's the grip angle of the 1911, and most other manufacturers use the same angle. Glock does their own angle, so it feel unnatural to my hand.

Go shoot a CZ. It's a Glock with all the problems solved. Better sites, better trigger, less money. :p

My responses in blue; to the quotes in red.

Nah. Let me give you simply two examples. These gentlemen do not do any BB squats. Their money makers are hack squats, and leg presses. Hell, I flew to UT last month to train wiht one of them on legs. The amount of intensity, knee-pain free works wonders. One of them I have been under (as my coach) just over a year and few months. He has done wonders for me with bringing up my legs. He worked with John Meadows (RIP) for 10 years as a side-coach and client of his.

    upload_2024-8-8_11-7-25.png
    upload_2024-8-8_11-8-12.png

If there's pain there, your setup is incorrect. Either a POS leg press with no adjustment or bad habits of not being able to place your head onto the pad and push back up with your quads.

No way. If so, its a POS hack squat machine. (our gym has one, I know what you mean). If you adjust your feet to what feels comfortable for you, pain free, they grow. This is coming from me who has knee issues, and has had two surgeries, with another one in the future. That being said, I also use artic balm, knee sleeves, (Elite) and a fuck ton of warm-ups prior to working sets. It's what I have found works best for me.

Whatever this forum told me to do

    ok. I see now.

    2 different disciplines.

see, the world is flat me. I don't get out much.

hypertrophy type training and those associated training protocols rarely, if ever, enter my blind spots.

    I appreciate and respect them.

and Lord knows, being that lean is not remotely in my ability.

Ya I get it. I know powerlifting vs BB are two opposite worlds...just two separate end goals. I just say whatever has been working for you, and especially as we age, keep going before its taken from you.
