Slugs will destroy every leaf on every plant they find. Pouring salt on them will kill them individually, but it's probably better to just get slug bait and put it around the plants they are infesting.

If I lived in a city I'd have one, for sure. Teslas are awesome for that. Speed aside. Personally, I'd actually give up acceleration if they could give it more range. I've been spoiled with trucks that have huge fuel tanks.

Yup. I plan to just skip the old part and just die. Avoiding doctors fits this plan.

 

Kind of both, in a way.
You can set it to chill mode, which will prolong battery life and go easy on the pedal like any other vehicle.

You can go redhead crazy and strip interior weight, shut down HVAC, DRLs etc..

 

So that's a half assed "sort of" then. I mean from the factory or a setting in the dash to significantly increase range. What I would want is to be given the slow and boring 5-6 second 0-60 time and crank up my range. I'm not sure that's how it works with the Teslas/EVs, though. Not sure the acceleration is what eats the juice as much as the AC and all the stupid display screens.

Imagine a regular dash, manual AC knobs, and a smaller screen for a radio. A regular car feel with the Tesla EV technology to drive it. How much power would be saved? For example, look at your phone's power usage. For most people, the highest power draw the phone has is it's display. Making the dash a display, and putting the huge screen in the center stack has to be wasting power. Sure, not a lot, but if they treated it the way ICE treats getting 1/10th of an MPG it could all add up to more range; and range is the number one deterrent to EVs for most buyers.

 

Nope, nothing like that. The 90kWh battery pack doesn't care how you use the power.
Tesla is like every other brand and the EPA range is only obtained with perfect conditions, roughly 3.5 miles/kWh. I don't have the data but I doubt the screen is a substantial current draw. The biggest energy suck is the motors to move the car with the HVAC system being a very distant 2nd place.
