I say, remove all safety features and let the smart people stay home for a year while nature works it out.

We have to wear cut proof gloves and use safety knives and contractors still manage to cut themselves. Some people shouldn't have graduated from kindergarten.

Ok wtf. I thought this was a good joke myself

I think it’s the getting older part. I’m not surprised tbh. Something is always wrong with me, ha. Our poor daughter (17) has juvenile arthritis. Per Ancestry.com she’s got more of me in her dna than the wife

Oh yeah. I post a lot in the detailing thread. I can also text / email you pix. I do have a website (PM’d) but not pix are on it..yet.

I always found that amazing and frustrating. SDHQ and BuiltRight were about the only two shops putting out good stuff when I had my Ford

Interesting, you’d think it’d be the opposite considering the volume of Fords vs Toyotas out there.

There may be more now and I never shopped at the big online retailers of cheap, made overseas garbage. But I never understood it either given the volume differences. Given the number of lifted trucks I see with even more money spent on rimes and tires these owners have money to spend.

Toyota's will and would go anywhere with the least amount of upgrades while Ford needed TLC just to climb through a mud puddle.... 6" lift is not

worth $hit with skinny tires and bright wheels out in the woods or at work..o_O

Even with Yota's BAD frames , we "Made it work"...A few folks became Welding Experts by the time Toyota started the "Frame Campaigns " and

those of us have stayed Loyal to a Fault :cool:...

Yota Crowd ranks right up with Harley and Peterbilt Folks with their Loyalty...

Those in the know , know !!!!:hattip:

I'd say most around Dallas are either drug dealers, spending Daddy's money, or rent-to-own wheels/tires..

Experimenting with Hallucinations I see. Definitely a good way to gain a different perspective on things.
Im not fully sure if you have to drill the frame for these if you're not using them on rock bashing runs. Like you, I mostly off-road for access, not for rock crawling. Gonna do a shakedown drive today and see if they move at all without the bottom brackets drilled and bolted to the frame. If I don't see them moving after the shakedown, I may just leave them as is for now and only drill the frame down the road if I see a need for it.

A huge amount of that volume difference is fleet sales. Those don't get the toy mods, they get work lights and strobe and such. For the private owners, it seems there's not much besides ridiculous lifts and wheels for the tiny peter compensation folks. You know, the same ones that shop the autozone mod aisle.

Though, the Coyote engine does have the 700 HP supercharger option. I just don't see the point in that. Maybe if it's flawless after a decade and I'm bored?

Got some pics of the LED DRLs. Kinda hard to see in the blazing sun because the amber is already reflective, and because the camera sees the flicker, but I got a couple with them lit.

Well, the side effects I have from the new meds so far: headache, and dizzy spells. Hopefully it’ll diminish or they’ll end up switching it, or maybe just cut me open so it can be done with if they want to go that route

Sooo I wanted to take a video of my suspension working to show how the PerryParts bumpstops work with the MT64s (and also to prove I'm not full of hot air when I say I like to send it  ) and I jerry-rigged a mount. I did a bad job. I had to do the walk of shame looking for the GoPro. Even though it didn't work very well at least I captured a little bit

The go-anywhere offroading culture of Toyota was built on Toyota building indestructible rigs that take whatever abuse you throw at them. They hold value like none other, and you can keep one for 10, 15, 20 years. Look at our very active 1st gen forum. Check out the 40, 60, 80, and 100 series forums on Mud. Regardless of sales volume, the overwhelming majority of 30+ year old rigs that still get wheeled hard are Toyotas.

When you can keep something running well that long on regular maintenance, you feel better about dumping mod money into it.

On the other hand, most of the Ford drivers I know only keep them 3-5 years. They get antsy around 100k miles (for good reason IMO and according to Ford’s still ongoing warranty spending woes). What’s the point in dumping mod money into something if you’re basically leasing? Especially if (Raptor and Tremor aside) it depreciates more the second you drove it off the lot?
