    I get it. I don’t think you’re necessarily guaranteed to have problems with a new half ton truck, but the entire segment is the goofiest it has ever been. I wouldn’t buy any of them. I was interested enough in a Power Wagon a couple years ago to open an account on the Ram trucks forum. The horror stories on that forum black pilled me for life.

    I just think any new half ton puts you in the feedback loop of needing to buy a new one sooner than you probably should. They’re real good at wooing you on the test drive though.

    I still think the only half ton that gives you this kind of peaceful sleep is a used 3UR-FE Tundra:

    But fuck Nissan. Seriously. They shit the bed on the most amazing product ever…the half-ton HD with a Cummins. Seriously…how hard do you have to work so that a turbo diesel underperforms your gas engine at towing at altitude!

    Plus, last I checked their only engine was a DI-only design. Once again…fuck that. But other than that, Go Nissan.

    Im not seeing rust issues or coverup on the undercarriage... between the leafs is usually the telltale as rust will get in between them and even if they spray over it, it's really hard to get all the nooks and crannies :thumbsup:

    The receiver may have been touched up, but I wouldn't sweat that...

    I may be wrong.... but that does not look like OE material on the center console, and is it missing the little 'badge' on the console lid???

    It might have been replaced at some point and just wasn't done well, but either I'd negotiate that off as it's a glaring and immediate need to fix...

    Online it looks like MSRP for them is just over $550, and most Discount Online Toyota Dealers are just under $380 for a new lid :notsure:
