I'm officially in that post menopausal, old guy stage where my sleep is all over the place.
I got lucky the last few nights and fell asleep/woke up at relatively normal hours.
6:15ish today.

 

humming bird just showed up and the feeder is empty.
I need to get it filled before I get a bad review.

 

Hey, Tyler , can I ask a bit of a favor? Can you share some daylight pics of the Cement Taco in various stages of cleanliness? Kinda asking for a photo dump. Like lots of pics. You can PM me if you are afraid of getting a spam ban.

I'm trying to gauge if I would prefer Cavalry Blue, Cement, or Celestial Silver if I get back in a Tundra. I'm familiar with how CB and Silver handle being dirty, but I rarely see Cement in person and I don't think I've ever seen it dirty.

 

I second the emotion for truck pics.

Also, Celestial Silver is awesome, and I always think it looks especially great on Tundras. When I decided to buy a Tundra, I was originally looking for a gently used CS truck with 40-60k. Then Covid hit, and it made more sense to spend a few grand more on a new one.

Bonus: CS seems to hide dirt and imperfections better than any of the flat primer-y colors like Cement, CB, or AG. IMO.

 

trucks should be white or a basic color and dirty.
not clean and the color of nail polish.

 

If Toyota's white paint wasn't prone to problems, I would not be opposed. Stormtrooper Tundras look great.

 

I don't like it any more than you do! There's lots of white ones out there that I just have to skip over because of it.

I do like their Windchill Pearl, but it's only on the platinum trim, I think. Not sure if it's also affected though.

It’s a loud color for sure. I parked next to one in the Midwest while on a road trip. My dirty, no ceramic AG loaded to the gills for camping, next to a freshly detailed, $$$ coated VB with 0 offset wheels and an empty bed. Kinda funny. Opposite ends of the truck driver spectrum.

I thought VB was better in person than in pics. Still think it kinda looks like it just wants lots of attention.

I think those upgraded white paints (what are they called... uhhh... like moonlight express or something); anyhow, I think most of the ones w/pearl or metallic are exempt from those paint issues, right????

I put the voodoo blue in the same category as solar octane or whatever they're calling it these days... It's a vibrant color that looks sharp, but I'm not sure if I'd want to see it everyday

Lunar rock for example was a color that I wasn't opposed to, but would've taken one when it was crunch time (overall it was #3 on my list which went black, white, lunar).... but as I started seeing them frequently here, I really started liking the LR (not more than black of course) but it grew on me...

 

Huh. Your top 3 are my 3 absolutely will not buy deal breaker colors. And Quicksand. Hate that color.
