I don't smoke weed and never will but it just feels crooked that a person can't smoke a joint on a Friday night just in case there's an incident while they're at work a week later.

 

If one of us fails a drug or alcohol test, we either go to rehab or get terminated.
If it happens a second time, you're terminated..

I don't know the levels, but a positive test is over a certain level of whatever in your test result.
It's not all or nothing..

 

It is my understanding the more body fat a person has the longer it takes to metabolize the THC.
Perhaps a skinny dude may clear a test after a few days but someone like me would take over a month.
I guess it also depends on how much and often one would partake in such activity..

Back in package cars there was only probable cause drug testing.
But once I started driving semis and needed a commercial license I was subject to random resting.

 

When you “trust” someone/people and they betray that ‘trust’ that now means nothing to you but a word. When it happens over and over then it is hard to continue. Trust is earned not given

 

that is funny, my son is a cop now that he is out of the Marines and he said “I would rather have an encounter with someone that is high than a drunk.” when I asked why he said “I never had a 4’3” tall Asian girl kick my ass all over the place and make something that should have been easy a chore. Basically the ones that are high admit to everything and apologize.”

I was surprised because of the way he used to be about pot before he went into the Marines. He has never done it but he is now not against it. It is just like alcohol though, it effects each person differently.

I think the original context of that post was that he doesn't trust the people operating vehicles around him enough to risk having others w/him. It was my understanding that he was saying, 'I'll accept the additional risks and responsibilities of putting myself on a bike under certain conditions, but I won't risk the safety of any passengers based on how much I trust others to operate vehicles responsibly'....

We that have CDL's have to piss test in ever occurrence; our fault or not BUT Habitual fools can lawyer up and drag us through hell with delays

To a certain person here that shall go unnamed, ^^^^^^^^ Really hating your comment colors.

 

A lot of the problem is the DAs will put so much extra work and BS on the LEOs in terms of paperwork, processing and cancelled court dates (and still finally end up allowing it to be pled down to a suspended sentence at best.. cuz that's a win for the DAs office), that for years it's been much easier and efficient for LEOs to charge folks w/misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia than the felony controlled substance; this way it's handled by a municipal or magistrate court and often times the judges will give them a few months of time in County for repeat offenders.

 

I can't even read them.
Although our disdain probably just encourages the behavior...
