These statements are true, because all beer is shit.

 

Scotch and bourbon are infinitely superior.

 

Were I to give in and drink those would be what I would try. Though I am 90% sure I would dislike them as much as I do beer.

 

Ya know, I'm not a drinker and don't care for most beer. But I sure do enjoy a sam Adams summer ale or 2, or a corona on occasion.
Not sure what it is about those 2. Always thought it was strange that I don't care for beer in general, but will actually crave those on occasion.

You should try some, just to have had the experience. Hard to provide a reference for someone who doesn't drink coffee or beer, but there are wild differences in quality and flavor - just like coffee or beer. More expensive isn't necessarily better, but cheap is very often horrible.


For bourbon, these are definitely on the 'No' list:

There are a lot that could be added to either list...

For Scotch, try a Highland, Lowland, or Speyside first - The Macallan or Glenmorangie - or blended like Sassenach. If you start off with an Islay, you'll get turned off Scotch for life. I have a Laphroaig that'll put hair on your chest just smelling it.

I don't drink or smoke for the same reasons I gave up coffee. I plan to do my best to avoid "the experience" as best I can.

I tried Buffalo Trace once and it was terrible.

Yes. Lots of people are wrong in here. @Azblue refuses to admit that beer is gross, @T-Rex266 thinks chicken nuggets are hot wings, @LarryDangerfield likes ketchup, etc. We just make sure they have their helmets on and all the sharp corners are padded before unclipping them from their leashes and harnesses.

 

Kinda makes you look forward to needing hearing aids that you can turn off, right?
