There are fair number of sick people on my floor at work. Even by pre-covid standards a few of them are in that “go the fuck home” category. We don’t get to keep our sick leave, so I don’t understand why they are here.

 

Well, if they're like me and have had an insulting review and raise because their sick pay use "looked like a pattern" they might just decide to say "fuck it. Everyone gets it because the boss is a POS."

 

We are flush with people that abuse SL and they still get raises and promotions due to the union.

I think a few are being dicks b/c mgmt is mandating being in the office full time.

 

Failure of management. They should walk through and send the sick ones home. They don't, because they don't care.

 

Oh great deities, imagined or otherwise. Hear our prayers. Accept our sacrifices. May @Azblue arrive at Costco and be unable to find a parking spot for at least an hour. Grant your blessings upon him that he may lack the willpower to resist buying that which he does not need so that his cart may overfloweth. In thy wisdom, place many texting fools and small children in his path so his path to the checkout is persistantly hindered. Finally, we ask thee, oh great deities, to create large line ups at the checkouts to further frustrate him.

Actually, now that I think about it you got off light. $230 is $309 in Canuck Pesos. About $100 - $150 less than I usually get out of there for.

I've been going to Trader Joe's for over 50 years. Literally. Excellent store. I read the "Fearless Flyer" every month.

 

I'm so old that K Marts didn't have a restaurant inside but I bought firearms, reloading goodies, including on the shelf smokeless Dupont gun powder, CCI primers, bullets, and brass.
