For sure...there just isn't a lot of it around here. Eastern WA is better, but this state is a strange mix of WA owned and a few different US Govt divisions that all break up the land. All with different rules and whatnot.

Can someone explain the whole FB thing to me?
I tried googling and my question wasn't answered.
So, I don't have an account. A lot of times, people will link something here and if I click it, I get the "log in to see this shit" page.
My specific question is:
If you have a FB account, how much of other people's page can you see?
And if you send them a friend request and they accept it,....what exactly does that unlock? What can you do/see that you could t before, once someone accepts your friend request?

 

I was told that someone can still see your page/posts/pics and can still private message you if you are not "friends" with them. So, my question is, then what's left for them to gain access to after you friend them?

 

I didn't recognize the smily fries either...but they look appropriately disgusting for the '90s.

I actually played Goldeneye recently...I don't think it holds up as well as everyone says. Think that's a generation thing...I played the original Wolfenstein back in the day. Now that is a true classic.

Don't really want to make an account.
Just trying to understand how it all works, so I can decide if I should be upset or not.
So, can someone still see your pics/posts if you're not "friends"? Can they still send you a private message?
Or, do they just see a main page and you have to accept their friend request for them to be able to see your pics and message you?
Just trying to understand what you are able to do after your friend request is accepted, that you couldn't do before.

I have a fake account. It's only part of my real name, and says I'm a female born in 1994. It's also linked to a throw away email that I don't use. I originally got it because it's how our book club communicates. Then when Tidewater Tundras was created they also have a group for communication. I only have six "friends", two from book club, two from Tidewater Tundras and my two daughters. You can restrict pretty much everything. I turned off my online status also. There used to be a way you could see your page the way others can, but I can't find that feature. Maybe @T-Rex266 can take a screen shot of what he can see when he looks me up? John Michael

 

I still don't really understand it.
As far as I can tell so far, the account I'm talking about, personal info is private, like phone number, email etc.
I'm assuming that once you friend someone, they can now see everything you do, your pics, when you post something, when you update anything, when you tag shit (whatever that means), etc.
Can you still send someone a private message on FB even if you are not friends?

No creepin. Someone has a FB account and 500 "friends". I asked them what someone gains access to after you accept their friend request, that they couldn't see before. Can they now send private messages? See all your pics? Follow you? Etc.
The person I asked said: pretty sure anyone can send anyone else on FB a PM and you don't need to be friends. And that they weren't sure what their settings were, or what people can/can't see after you friend them. Just that personal info like phone#, email was private and not seen.
