I guess technically you could only buy the bigger mags for pistols you already had. I've got good friends that are really close with the local sheriff and deputies, the mag law isn't even on their radar.

NY is exactly the same. I'm guessing most states are. Mostly country and then your 1-2 big metro areas filled with garbage, weirdos, largest population, brainwashed college kids, hippies and people with money.
I hear even TX is like that now. Austin is the new Cali.
This is why we need to block off all exits and entrances and spray the major populatuon centers where humans have condensed and congealed into big, festering tumors of humanity.

WA is a no-go for anything AR now. Think the new laws even impact the classic 10/22, but not sure how that all wiggled out. If you own it you are good, but nothing new and at least for mags you cannot buy or sell.

Curious if it would even be legal to bring in everything you owned if you moved to the state. Not like anyone is checking but still…

 

This time zone stuff is really fighting me this week. Normally I am back on track by now but 2am is my wake-up. Grrr

Yep. And a kid in college.

Although with my son away in college I get to drive the Corolla to work. That saves me $~$7.50 per day in gas. Plus our food bill will be cut by ~25%. So saving here and there

 

Yeah, until he needs money while away. Then all those savings evaporate.

I'd rather stay on DST year-round. It's dark when I start work in the winter either way. May as well have some light after I get off work.

I think it was Casey who made the point in a different post that mags have date stamps (or serial numbers which can be used to discern the date of manufacture); so if it was made after the law went into effect, if you had the wrong sheriff, you could have some trouble.

Btw; I only have 10 or so 30rd. mags, but all are at least 5 years old. One of these days I'll need to swap them out for new, and I don't have any idea what I might need to do with the old ones...

CT is 10rd cap. If you had anything over 10 you were "supposed" to declare it on the form along with any AR platform you owned (can no longer buy them though some folks were getting around that with the "other" clasification...not a pistol and a not a rifle based on barrel length and brace) I think compliance with the registration was guessed at less that 10%.

If you get busted with undeclared "high cap" mags, you get a misdemeanor for each the 1st time and a felony for each the second time.

I always laugh when the news sensationalizes a couple hundred rounds on a bust like that's a lot.
