To put a bow on it; I'm realizing more and more we're in a power bubble up here. Most appliances here are electric and we sell a lot of excess power to other markets.
I stand by all my points but they probably don't apply to everyone.

I got curious last night and was looking at Tesla's offerings. Are the new cheapo models still $35k, or is that after the tax credit? Are they still doing that?

It's pretty wild to not feel the pain, but still feel the tugging, pushing, pressure and hear all the crazy noises.
Hopefully you got a good dentist. A good one will be in/out in no time and you won't feel a thing (just like I tell the wife).
I had a horrible experience with a shit dentist and didn't go back for a long time because of it. Ended up with some issues that I let go too long. Then found a new dentist and he's been amazing. Hope you got a good one.

 

Yeah, there shouldn't be any pain after a crown, after the novocaine wears off; nerve or no. I have a mouth full of dentists mistakes, so I feel for you.

[edit] soreness, yes. but like a dull ache. not any sharp pain.

 

My crown ached for a couple days after. Stop being a baby.

Yeah, permanent crowns have far better fit and finish than temp crowns. That could be the issue

The wife has had a few of them; nerve pain is sharp (may come from biting on that tooth, just being there or hot/cold sensations)... dull ache is from them messing w/it. Root canal is removal of the nerve in that tooth and all sharp pain should cease immediately

 

Side note... don't tough out the pain until the 29th; if it's getting worse or not lessening, you may have an infection. If this has happened or happens, they'll need to put you on antibiotics and wait for it to clear up before they can do the root canal (usually about 5-7 days). So, in other words, if you're not doing better in a day or two, assume it may be that and get in to have it looked at... At least that way they can get you started on antibiotics if necessary and still knock out the crown on the 29th

I've been here a little over two hours, only 1.5 hours into the shift, and I'm ready for a nap. Not because it's boring, but because my internal clock and sleep schedule is completely out of whack. So strange, because I sleep but never when I am supposed to.
