Fire update - I just got a tour of the house. Burnt matchstick is the best description. Total loss. Inspector said it appears to have started in a massage chair, crawled along the wood floor and went gonzo when it got to the couch. Apparently when the crew broke a window to get in the oxygen set it off. Fricken crazy. Inspector said that's the second massage chair fire he's seen recently...last time the owner didn't make it.

I could only see four engines and the ladder truck last night, but apparently the entire city showed up. More trucks went down an additional block. Kinda funny, but next to the house is a greenbelt. Glad we had everyone here in case the fire jumped. Oof, that would have made national news as there's a ton of dry wood in there and lots of homes back right up to the belt. That would have been an "immediate evac" moment....grab the BOBs and run.

Wife: it had to go to the swing doctor.

Wife: what the actual fuck?

 

Would I be correct in thinking that she's the sister who lives in Utah, cos stereotypes and all that nonsense?

 

I really am tired of having to do all this cooking. Granted, the past few days it is just for me, but this is not what I agreed to. I married an Italian (this Italian specifically) for a lot of reasons and one was the cooking!

I don't make good choices when left to fend for myself.

My bro-n-law picked up a non running Honda es6500 from an estate for $100. I picked it up from him for free during his last move (before any of you give me shit, I moved his ass for free a dozen times). Anyway...it ran great after a carb clean and a new fuel line.

Yeah this is a 2017 model, 54" deck. Been through hell and back but I'll get it all tuned up. The battery was hooked up backwards so I'm chasing some electrical gremlins. The oil was very low and black and the air filter was using mud as a pre-filter.

 

Tonight is 3 beers and spaghetti with salad. Last night was Chicken Teriyaki (with water). Tuesday night was two beers and a PB&J. I'm eating healthy breakfasts and decent lunches, but dinners I just stuff myself.

Well this sucks. Went to bed early in hopes of sleeping better, but woke up 3 hours later.

 

An hour later and I'm winding down, again. Weird sleep schedule.
