Sounds like it would be worth it in this case.

There are two kinds of (working) people when it comes to Friday afternoons. One group wants to be left alone and the other group presents with verbal diarrhea syndrome to drag meetings out.

    I despise the VDS peoples…

For hunting and off-roading, yes. Especially in areas that have a mix of public and private land (or more private land than public).

For example, some of the areas I’ve elk hunted are a patchwork of NF, state, and private timber. A family friend owns several of the private tracts, but adjacent and scattered in there are also traces of other owners that have been arguing over easement rights for decades. Getting caught on a few of those pieces of ground is pretty much a guaranteed trespassing charge (and they watch it during season) and a loss of hunting rights. The boundaries aren’t well marked in some areas, and property lines rarely follow terrain cleanly. Having the land boundaries in the gps app is critical in those places.

another example is private land depredation hunts, where the animal must be on specific pieces of ground that are enrolled in the permit system. Put down an animal on the wrong side of that land boundary can mean a hefty fine

Not difficult for them to have a trigger set up for any sort of web traffic that might be pointed at competitor's websites or searches for competitors. That can be enough to pique someone to check into it and see traffic to a site called "application" which would lead back to you as the person that was generating that traffic.

Not saying that I would do such a thing. Just saying it wouldn't be difficult to do...

Simple, all URL's are monitored and any URL not in a white list is reported, and the activity there may be recorded. Never use a work computer for anything except work.

I've never experienced a sipping tequila. I've had good tequila clean but never really thought of it as sipping.

I used to like gasoline margheritas.
It's a glass of tequila with a few ice cubes and a lime wedge.
I stopped using the limes because they seemed to be causing absurd drunkenness.

Dude, I was looking for another job. That's totally work related.
In all seriousness, people have a lot of freedom where I work. People look up all kinds of crap, short of inappropriate stuff. I honestly think one of the IT guys was being nosy and tattled. There's a lotta weasels and bitches at my job.
We also have our own internal phone system/network and I'm 99% sure that the IT guys have a trick where they can punch in a code and listen through someone's phone.
I'm sure they've caught me talking shit more than once. It was all true and I've said it all to everyone's face at one point or another. But people still get hurt and bitchy when they hear shit being talked.
    Oh well.

    100% in bold above

    :rofl::rofl::rofl:

    Have a good weekend!!!!

PS>>> Try sipping on some (quite a bit) quality tequilla; treat it like a fine scotch, and you'll forget about wanting to throat punch the IT guy

One guy at work Googled Brittney Spears on lunch break with a few of us around, then got an email from IT. I guess that was a flag.

They don't care about YouTube, CL or Tundras, I know that. We've got hundreds of employees though, probably close to a thousand. I'm sure they monitor, but they've got bigger fish to fry.

Probably due to that panty-less upskirt shot of her getting out of a vehicle about 10-15 years ago...

Showed up today. Set up wasn't too bad although getting it in pairing mode wasn't exactly as the instructions stated. Took a fair amount of time to establish connection to the satellite while in my backyard. Didn't send any messages, waiting till Monday when I can give it a genuine test run in the woods with no reception. I'm curious if being away from buildings and vehicles and Wi-Fi signals and cell phone signals if it will establish connection to a satellite any quicker.

    Mmm
The only tequila I’ll drink are ones worth sipping. A guy that works for me brought that one back from PV - it wasn’t cheap even south of the border. It was really good.

My first ever (and only) proper shot out of a shot glass was tequila. I hated it. I actually yelled out, "That's fuckin awful!" and people in the bar laughed at me lol
