You ever start to do yard work… and just completely ruin your day?

No. No it wasn’t.

I usually brush off these type of things, wrap it with a rag and go about my day, maybe super glue it. I got 8 stitches for this one

About 9 1/4 but wife still doesn’t complain

 

I KNEW that one was coming, they are my house shoes, and at the time all I could put on.

I had to wait 30 minutes for my wife to get off a call with a client before taking me in.

Having my first alcohol drink in 8 days due to antibiotics.

I know people drink while taking them, just did a stupid google search and said not to. Just want to heal as quickly as I can. Half of my feeling in my finger tip is gone and that will probably take months / years to get back if ever? I still have numb spots in my knee from surgery in 2007 so who knows

 

That sucks... tons of nerves in the hand too. So, it's never completely numb when they get to working on it; plus the damn shots in the hand to make it not hurt, hurt

When I was a kid we visited my step grandparents in Chicago. Was the 1st time I saw fire flies, and there was a ton of them. We get them where I live, but no where near as many.

 

Yeah, I severed a tendon that runs on the side of my finger.

they gave me the numb shot but I still felt 2 stitches go in and out

 

The blue stitching they used does match the blue stitching in your socks though...

 

Is your tetanus current? My brother n law shot himself in the finger with a nail gun, and a week later he went on heavy antibiotics due to a blood infection.

Oh...and my buddy ran his hand through a table saw and they reconnected his tendons, and he has most of the use of his fingers.

 

I'm not sure why, but I've always found it funny that everyone around you is always, 'Quick we need to get you to the ER'; dudes are always, 'hang on, I need you to take a picture of this first'

Also to note I went to three places. First urgent care by my house but wait time was hours out. They told me the urgent care the next town over could see me right away. Went there and the dr. Looked at it and said go to the ER. So go to the ER and got a deep cleaning. They opened up my flap and scrubbed it with a brush and sponge to clean it. There is a joke in there but too soon for me to make one.

 

When I slipped while taking the lawn mower blades off the deck a few years ago the hot walk-in nurse did the same to me.
