Just making a joke at a shitty situation. I’m not looking forward to that day with my kiddos and mine is 10 years away. Who knows what insurance will cost then.

We were just talking about rats the other day... Had to shoo a rat with a bushy tail out of the garage. I'd think after staying in there all night with nothing to eat but cardboard boxes, fertilizer, and rat poison, he'd be eager to dart out as soon as the door was opened, but he made me work for it. Now I'm just hoping he wasn't a she and left behind a few soon-to-be stink bombs.

 

Only real meat is allowed on my grill. If someone wants a fake, veggie, or soylent green burger they can bring their own grill over.

Got another rat last night. Think there's a new clan that isn't street smart yet. Now I'm down to two or three. The big fat one hasn't been seen for a few days...hopefully it died.

I did run out of traps, so I ordered that bucket lid trip...we'll see how that goes when it arrives tomorrow.

 

The mycoprotein (mushroom based) ones aren’t bad. Soy- or any other bean-based ones will absolutely destroy my guts

I'm not understanding the reason for high priced based on Tesla... Isn't that the easiest vehicle to set limits, track, avoid wrecks, etc... why is it so high for a Tesla

 

If it's damaged it's very expensive to fix. It's also heavy and going to do damage if it hits anything. Then there is the rapid acceleration. Top it off with the risk of a 3 day fire if the battery ignites and you have to pay for the emergency services to clean it up. All adds up to expensive AF to put a kid in it.

 

So what happens when there are only electric cars???

Not at all. It will never happen is all I'm saying. For one, people won't give up the soul that an ICE has willingly. For two, there simply are not the resources to replace every car nor to bolster the electric infrastructure to the point that it can handle it. The forcing of EVs would result in a societal reset to a dystopian hellscape. Only the ultra rich would be able to afford a car and the majority of people would be peasantry.

 

Shift number 6 almost done. Just a couple more hours. Kind of a hectic couple of hours in the middle, but it simmered down. One left, and then I have to get some stuff out of the storage unit and get rid of the dog food.

 

Who is your insurance company? We have Amica and they added my then 16yo son to our pilicy and insured him on the 97 Wrangler because it was the lowest value vehicle on our policy. His insurance is $500/year. We did have to increase our umbrella policy, but that was only another $250/year.

May be worth it to buy and insure a driveway beater.
