I have no fucking idea what a 28 cribbage hand means, but if you care what we are doing, I am drinking a beer and my wife is unloading the dishwasher.

29 is the highest hand possible, so she was only off by one point.

You could always just take some cash for the tip. Then they don't get taxed on it if they choose not to report it. I don't ever do a percentage for the tip anyway. I hit the "custom" button and type the amount I wish to tip.

We were talking about other things while playing cribbage. By the time I was dealing the next hand, her hand caught on to my brain and I realized what it was.
In hindsight, I should have told her she needed my knob to make it perfect.

I'm not sure what you're talking about. My dryer came with a dishwasher.

I generally tip well when I'm in the States. I almost never tip in Canada. Here all the servers make minimum wage ($15/hr) + tips. Most service is crap too. I'm surprised if my drink is ever refilled. The last few times I've been out to dinner it wasn't even our server who brought our food out, it was either a manager or a totally different server. Our original one was off taking orders at other tables, and yet they still expect a 20% or higher tip!? Fuck that.

Going out to eat really isn't worth it any more. I cook better food at home anyways.

Stumbled upon a new band/song while watching a Dork in the Road video. He had it on his phone on screen, but obviously had the awful free yootoob music, so I had to take a peek into what he listens to. This is the first I've heard of them, and I kinda like this one. May have to find more of their stuff. I'm just hesitant because so many groups get into the political weeds and then I can't listen to them anymore.

We have the opposite problem. Our kid is gradually deciding she doesn't like any dish we make any more. At some point I'm just going to start making stuff I like and she can have a peanut butter sandwich for supper every night for all I care.

That's not a palate issue, it's a control issue. And I think the PBJ idea is the right one. Or if she's older than 10 or 12, have her decide what to cook for dinner, and cook it for everyone.

I would. The education she'll get wielding such a knife in the kitchen will be priceless. Plus, then you can explain to her the art of damascus steel and knifemaking. Sure beats anything the so-called "educational system" will teach her.

I was super tired last night for some reason and passed out around 10P. Apparently, we had a rolling blackout around 3A and all of the smoke detectors were beeping. I didn't wake up to this, but the wife and oldest did and then weren't able to go back to sleep. I am just glad I was too tired to hear it lol
