Price of the schedule I have. 7 on/7 off is worth it.

Technically possible, but I try not to. I have to be more vigilant/aware at work so watching stuff in a 2-5 minute chunk before spending time actually working is how it goes. I could watch a show, but I hate pausing a show that often.

@tripleconpanna is always on something, but that's why we like him.

 

I have scamazon prime and nettflix. Any streaming has to be done on my personal phone. I don't pay for any others. Not worth the dollars to me.

 

7 days off in a row sounds like heaven.

100% best schedule I've ever had. Wednesday through Tuesday with shifts being 6 to 6. The only "downside" is that the OT threshold resets at midnight Saturday night/Sunday morning, but I'm paid enough I don't care. If somebody complained and convinced them to swap it to constant OT, the schedule would get scrapped, and the time off is worth way more than the money.

Bleh. Documentaries... I watch for escapism mostly. I appreciate the suggestion, but there's too much chaff to sift through in a documentary to make it a worthwhile use of time to me.

I'm salary, so no OT. 7ish to 6ish 5 days a week. I burn PTO as quick as I earn it taking my son to New York for a therapy that isn't covered by medical.

My wife wants to vist her Cleveland family this summer and I am trying to figure out legistics so I can work because i don't have the time to take off.

 

Oof. Yeah, I did salary once. Never again. They usually want more than they pay you for, and I value my time too much for that. As for working the logistics, can you save up some money to take the time without pay?

Thanks, but we are in it for the long haul. Hoping we can figure out something closer. Its 80 miles each way...otherwise it would just be a half day every other week.

 

Damn. Have you asked the place you go to recommend something closer to home?
