About 25 years ago I had an apartment in a not great part of town, and one night about 1 a.m. I heard bloody-murder screaming coming up the steps outside. I watched through the peep hole as one of the upstairs neighbors carried his SO up the stairs, over his shoulder, against her will. She was fighting him like a cat going into a bath. Also, don't ever live on the middle floor of a 3-story apartment building... Anyway, I'd seen them both before, he wasn't hurting her (he was taking all of the punishment), and she seemed kinda drunk; so I let it pass without a call to the police. I'm sure someone else called, though - it was quite a scene.

Early afternoon the next day, the dude knocked on the door. He was knocking on everyone's door to apologize for his wife, who had taken too much LSD.

Fun times.

Months later, after I'd let the complex know I'd be moving out, the FBI knocked on my door asking if I knew of any drug activity in the building. For a lot of reasons, it wasn't fully a wrong decision to move in there; but it was a great decision to move out... So glad life is different now; but I still don't pay any attention to my neighbors. There could be a crack house next door and I'd never know.

 

Why am I awake!?

Stayed up until at least 7:30 AM to flip to for nights, and woke you at 12:45-ish. Work is at 6 PM. really wanted to sleep until at least 2 and was hoping for 3.

 

Yeah... I planned for this though. Fridge full of monsters.

Some of us like to follow a policy on actual fridays; don’t do anything big, just wait for the calls to come in.

 

I plan to daydream about the motorcycle I plan to get once my bloody trailer isn't snowed in! I tried digging it out, but I think I need equipment to do it. Damn near needing equipment to try and clear the mountain at the end of my driveway. Kicked my own ass digging it down to where I wouldn't hit the grille of the truck on exit, and dug out a cubby for the trash bins. I really am starting to hate the dipshit that plows my road.

Wife was not impressed this morning while she was dancing around thinking it was Friday when I correctly announced it was just Thursday

We started the day off with me scaring the He!! out of her anyway... she came back from her bike ride and totally missed me out adjusting

sprinkler heads , just about crashed her Trike when I said good morning
