Had 28" of snow in the driveway this morning. Drove to the office, worked all day and get home at 7 pm and the guy who plows never showed up. I call him and he "forgot" me. More snow expected tonight. Time to look for a more reliable plow service.

Didn't they go back to the V8? I know the EcoBoost wasn't real popular in the Raptor.

 

Nah.. still EcoBoost, but the 2023 does have the Raptor R option and is outfitted w/the SC V8 (cheapest MSRP on a Raptor R is $120k)..... I don't think many will be had at that price though

Dealer had a used code orange RaptorR on the lot. The buyer drove it around for a week and decided they didnt like the color. They already have it re sold at $150k

he let me start it up and the supercharged V8 was pretty sweet…but the price is ridiculous on those things. Especially when you can pick up a TRX for under 90k now

 

Why not just SC the Pro and keep it? What's making you go to a Raptor?

 

Call my cynical, but I’d bet the first buyer was a relation to a sales manager or owner. Some dude “bought” the truck, raped it for a week and then “traded it in”. Now the dealership can sell it used for any price it wants and Ford won’t get pissed for scalper pricing.

And to be clear…if the dealership is looking for new-truck buyers I’ll take the credit hit for a week with the truck equivalent of a porn star.

I actually wanted another TRD Pro but couldn't get one without ADM. I want to get off the leaf spring rear end of the 2nd gen

I had been looking at Raptors for the last year but ADMs in Cali have been like 15-25k at most dealers. One of the dealers I had been talking to hit me up with a deal I couldn't pass up on. Wife has a 2020 Expedition Max and I have really enjoyed the Eco Boost and 10 speed trans.

 

possible, but here in Cali they are charging whatever they want anyway so I dont think the dealers care. One of the trucks I was looking at in December was listed at $103k with a sticker of 79,800. I told the sales guy if they are ever willing to do MSRP to give me a call and I will take it same day…when I offered him my info, he straight up told me no thanks. They ended up dropping it to 97k and it sold shortly after.

 

Bleh. Trying to do credit card research to replace the one I'll lose when I $hitcan my credit union. Seems there are very few that don't just have a laundry list of complaints. Any one here have a recommendation? I need to call my other card and see if I can just up my balance. If I can, I will likely just go down to one card.

 

Chase sapphire preferred is my favorite. Great travel benefits and have always been impressed with the customer service. It has a cheap annual fee like $95. The reserve card has way more benefits if you travel a lot but its like $500 annually, I can’t justify it for my needs, but my brother who travels a bunch says he saves more than enough to offset the annual fee with the benefits.

 

Yeah, I won't do a fee card. I don't travel enough, and I hate the idea of paying for the privilege of paying them in the first place. LOL

 

Reward points... so you have an account to redeem points and such? Or is it a straight cash back type?
