I am Old enough to be the Kid studding New Snow tires before installing them and when a customer would ask " Do we need different air in

those??"


My natural answer was yes, an extra $5 @ tire Boss would get sideways for the customers sake BUT after the fact

I so DO NOT miss snow.............sorry to those that LIKE it but I'm Done

 

I think people that get a lot of snow soon hate it, and those that don’t get enough always want more. I’m the latter.

 

Sorry for everyone, I’ve lived in the desert my entire life! But I do respect snow and idiots in the snow.
This winter I’m doing it, a 4runner buddy always does it; head up the local mountain at night or evening before the storm and sleep or do whatever. The roads get closed coming up because everyone is stupid and wants to play in the snow, so you usually have freshies to yourself, and then it’s melted the next day, or roads closed for 2-4 days “local traffic only”

 

Sounds like a blast! You know we need pics of that, like a lot.

 

I just gotta wait for the perfect storm!

I always made Dam good money plowing and/or Hauling it....and I even had "Custom Raw Hide Sno-Shoes" made for both Con & I... Those will be

hanging at the new house just to make folks ask questions

I put snow tires on a 73 VW bug, in 1975, rear wheels only. In MI, we had 26 inches of snow, never a doubt of going to work, but had to make it 1/2 mile to the highway. Got a running start, kept it in a fast 1 st gear, it just slid over the snow and the snow tires propelled the bug.

All this whinging about snow. Imagine the first pioneers coming West and the conditions the happily faced just for a chance at a better life. We're all soft these days.
