My commute is 30 miles. Can't imagine how tired I'd be if I didn't work from home 4 days a week.

I've had a 30 minute commute before, but I love driving. I'd take different routes home for variety and use the time to decompress.

30 miles /= 30 minutes for most people.
Mine is 27 miles door to door… 40 minutes on a good day (9 miles is winding out of the hills to the highway). ~60 on a shitty day

Mine was in SLC. Surface streets and highway. I'd usually bump over to the fashion place mall and play Soul Calibur 2 in the arcade for a bit to let traffic dwindle after work. Was a young kid, so I had more patience.

I was exaggerating my sub 10 mile commute earlier. It's actually about 3 miles. I know this plays a huge part in my aversion to working from home. Especially working 12 hour shifts.

20 miles, 27 mins if I leave right now (Saturday evening, no severe weather, standard driving)

What I do miss about COVID was the absolute zero freaking traffic. I drove to CA, and then Vegas 2x. Highways were pretty much fully open. Loved it. This is where I want to be again- as in zero traffic. Can’t wait to retire to a place where I don’t have to worry about traffic. I’m always worried about someone smacking into me.

Have to brag on my grandkids, my wife, and the Shiny TuRD a little.

Wife and I picked up the 3 younger of my 4 grands to take them to my dad's 80th birthday party. Son and DIL are in Hawaii on vacay, so the kids have been with DIL's mom. We had them all day with no mom and dad to hand them off to for anything. Fine for me, I was a single dad and I'm ready; but my wife never had kids, and neither did her sister. We've been close to the grandkids, but always had mom and dad there to do the thing when the stuff happens... She's never known a dirty diaper, snot, temper tantrum... nothing. Plus she's got a touch of OCD, and wants things clean and quiet. The kids are normal kids, so there's going to be some situation, and there may be an Avengers-level event - - you just never know.

Kids were perfect. P E R F E C T ! All. Day. Wife handled everything perfect as well - not that there was anything to 'handle', but she didn't stress over anything. All in all, a great success. And the best part - - my dad had a fun day seeing his great-grandkids.

Last, and least important; since son and DIL are in Hawaii, and her Suburban is set up for the kids already, we just took it instead of moving car seats and everything over to my truck. It's fairly new, has no problems, has bells and whistles, it's really nice (my son calls it bougie). If it were brand new and 4WD, I wouldn't even think of trading it for my Tundra. My truck rides smoother and sticks to the road better, has nicer seats - everything about my truck is better, IMO. Not that the Suburban sucks. But after a day driving another really nice vehicle - - damn, I love my truck.

Zombie Drink from Trader Sam’s outside of the Disneyland Hotel. Something with rum and a bunch of other stuff. Was pretty good and went down fast.

It's nice in the summer. Not so much in the winter. Plus that's an extra hour or so that I'm not either sleeping or seeing my family.

    Exactly this.

That Cuban pork sandwich at San Tan was awesome. But the next day was brutal having to hit the honey bucket on the job site.

My wife makes our own version of tabasco sauce. It’s amazing. Even better is the paste left over from making the sauce (basically fermented hot peppers and seeds)… I fucking love it, but more than about 1 teaspoon on an omelette and I’m questioning life choices a few hours later.

@TRDFerguson if you like pickles and corn dogs there is a cart called the blue ribbon corn dog cart across from the Lego store in down town Disney that does these. They are surprisingly good with the peanut butter, with mustard and alone. I just ate one and tried bites with each. I liked it best with a little mustard.
