Yeah, one of my doors was frozen shut yesterday. We are in a bit of a cold spell. Came on sudden, too.

Today is not horrible. Its going to warm up and rain the rest of the day and then be almost 50 tomorrow. Next week is going to be cold though.

 

I think it's awesome that you and your Mom get to go make memories on these adventures! If my Mom were in better health I'd love to do something similar. Do you let her drive the Taco?

Agreed. Can't tell if it's strawberry, raspberry, or cherry, though. If he comes back and says it's something weird like rhubarb I may have to block him, though. @LarryDangerfield

 

People forget how to drive in it every year. Combine that with transplants from CA that have never seen it before and you get a mess in the first few snowstorms of the year.

 

Its always horrible with the first snow. Roads where fine from Boulder to Broomfield but saw a few vehicles sliding. I dont get Denver drivers, They always drive like crap for the first few snows.

Not just Denver. Happens in Utah as well. I avoid going anywhere in the year's first couple storms if I can.

 

I dont blame you, I have found if I head into work at 4 the roads are wide open and somehow not icy. If you leave at the normal time then its the worst ice storm ever. Makes me laugh.

Can confirm. Some idiots get out in an ice storm and exceed the speed limit, driving past other idiots doing 20MPH in the left lane. As much as humanly possilbe, I avoid the roads when they're icy, not because I can't drive in it, but because of the aforementioned idiots. Glad I work from home.

 

Ditto. I was supposed to do a field walk with our site manager and he actually cancelled it due to the bad roads. Nice to see leadership walking the talk on safety.

Yeah, I saw. There should be some kind of pop up with that specific part of the CoC flashing in red before people can make their first post. Pretty sure most newbies just ignore/skim the PM from Bob.

 

Oh, for sure. But in the memorial thread there is usually a comment about referring to it when they return. Wasn't sure if it could be set up with a pop up to drive the point home in case they don't see/pay attention.
