That has to be a marketing scam. Or someone really f’d up with a bad batch of paint.

 

Somebody in the comments of the video that had all 3 together (2nd pic in previous post) said that the 4Runner was just a Lime one that had been vinyl wrapped for the photoshoot. Wonder if maybe they don't have the Taco and 4R painted and did a quick wrap just to get it out there?

That makes sense in my mind. Those pics are

 

The angle of the dangle and photo processing/editing and just plain reflection can cause differences in perception even with the rigs next to each other.

Hell, Lunar Rock can look like cement or quicksand depending on the sky and the angle of the shot.

 

This is true, but I watched the video even though the guy annoys the hell out of me, and they do not ever look like the same paint.

My thoughts as well. I just don't know if it's true. Some rando commenting it in the youtube comments doesn't have a ton of credibility. If it doesn't look like it does on the Tundra, then I would be more keen on a white one. Or, possibly a 2022 in Electric Lime.

 

Come to the white side!

 

Stormtrooper Pros look good, but Toyota white has had some dogsh*t issues in the past. It's the only color that has had recalls that I know of.

 

Nothing screams contractor/landscaper like a white pickup







Truth be told, I’d drive white before red or brown. The white Pro’s do look good

 

I really like my MGM Tundra but generally I prefer bright, interesting colours to counter the trend towards white, black and grey in the auto industry. My car is blue and I'd like my next truck to be green, red or blue.

Got the yard in shape at the new house yesterday. Hadn’t been mowed in about a month and had to mow it 3 times in the last week! Looks great but this is about 1/4 of what I have to mow. Thinking I’m going to need a small rider with some more horsepower. Anyone got any experience? Will probably post in the home improvement thread too.

 

I'm actually shocked that I like Solar Octane. I have always hated orange on cars. That phase a decade ago with the burnt orange ruined me on them all. Didn't like Inferno on anything, except the 4Runner, and all the Mopar oranges just looked like road cones to me. I used to hate white as well, but now white and silver are my usual first pics.

What kind of green? Something like Army Green, or loud and crazy like the Lime on the 4Runner and Taco?

 

I don't understand you guys that get these beautiful grids in your lawns. Mine always looks like a hayfield that's been mowed down by a bunch of goats. I hate yard work, though, so maybe my spite just shows through.

 

What are we fishing for today?

 

I'm definitely more of an Army Green kind of a guy. When we were at the dealer test driving a 2020 Tundra, my wife saw an AG (Pro) and started drooling - at least until I told her it was probably at least $20k more than the SR5 we were there to look at that had all the features we want and need.

 

Yeah, but now you could get an AG SR5.

 

I try to cut my grass in different directions but it's mostly different rectangles stuck together (sort of) so I can't do the nice diagonals like these guys. I generally just do East-West one time and North-South the next.

 

My land is so lumpy and lop sided I just go whichever way doesn't have me slipping, sliding, or tripping, and one pass is all it gets.

 

I've been eyeballing different blues a lot lately.

 

I think in Canada you had to go up to the Trail Edition in 2021 and up to the TRD OR in 2022. Trail was about $10k more than my truck and the new TRD OR is almost $15k more.

 

She's a keeper, but not a lot of meat on there.

 

I really like the Electric Blue Metallic (since renamed to Santorini) of my 2012 Kia Forte. Actually, I'm a sucker for any metallic paint.
