Two weeks ago. Not a big one, but not a slouch. Intended that to be my last cast of the afternoon, and he hit it 3 feet from the pier. Apologies for the hat hair.

Ha!, yeah definitely. The morning started with heavy clouds and I got caught away from the cabin for a couple of hours. They cleared and I burned. The pic was evening, though, after sunset. Fun fact I was reminded of only a short time before that fish and I posed for a selfie - - whiskey soothes sunburn pain really well.

Pond fishing in Texas is usually bass, cats, perch, and crappie. That's about all bird feet will bring. TPWD will stock trout or walleye if you ask, but a Texas summer will do them in pretty easy. It's fun enough. Even funner when soothing a sunburn.

My 6s still has a real home button; which is kinda like a back button... Either way, I refuse to trade it in until it's pried from my hands!!!

Unfortunately, Apple refuses to let us just enjoy our older and less intrusive tech... I'm not sure at what point the thought of a $1,000 phone (that becomes basically disposable after a year) made sense to anyone; but the masses are soaking it up, so I'm definitely in the minority of opinion on this topic!

Congrats on the fishing! I hope you kept that one.

Not trying to be a jerk, but learned from a fish biologist buddy of mine.

Nah, you're not wrong. I got an S5 new and kept it until the S10 came out, and only moved to the 10 when I cracked the screen. I'll wait to get another until this one's on its last leg too.

Not a jerk - - being informative... Yeah, I was getting the selfie. 'Their jaw will almost always break' is a little hyperbole, especially for smaller fish, but it surely can. The one in the pic was maybe 3 pounds at most, but starting about that size it's good advice.

I'm C&R with just about anything I drag out of a pond. A blue cat 4 to maybe 8 pounds might find its way into a pan, but nothing else.

Yup. Breaks or dislocates and they starve. Glad you already knew!

I don't keep fish either, but I might just to make @Azblue gag at the thought of eating them. :D
