For my wife, between her industry getting shut down, medical leave and maternity leave, it's been "blursday" for her for over 14 months.

 

That's just kinda life after 30, man. It just blurs. Not sure you two are over that age yet, but it just keeps speeding up.

 

Wait a couple of decades. We just celebrated New Year's eve I swear it was a couple of weeks ago. Now it's almost June.

 

Ah, I don't do holidays really, so it's all a blur. Feel like I've only been with the current employer for maybe 4-5 years... it's been 10.5 years. Time flies.

 

Yeah, been self employed for years.
I don’t know what a normal schedule is.
Fortunately, I enjoy what I do.

It’s either a week of Mondays or things go smoothly.

I agree. After work, which was hectic and chaos, I got to spend time with my good friend and her two kids. I love all three of them and it's been the best day I've had in a really long time.

I just spent over two hours in a YouTube black hole. Haven’t done that in years. Haven’t done that sober for many years. Feel much better now.

We've got an excellent view of Glacier Peak if that ever decides to blow its top!

 

My wife and her best friend were hiking along the PCT last year near glacier peak when they found a hypothermic hiker and managed to use their inreach to save him

 

That's lucky for him. Right place. Right time.

Sounds like Mondays were had by many, but at least we all survived. Waking up on the right side of the grass is generally a good thing.

 

So, today is my Friday.

I've got until the 28th to get stuff taken care of around the house and pack up to go see my buddy before his surgery. Going to load up the Trailzilla and go with him on Saturday as a last hurrah before he's laid up for a while. Should be good times, but the travel to see him and then go riding has me flinching at the pump. I'll try to remember to snag some pics of the prices paid and the towing mileage I get.

How far is the drive?

 

Thank you, sir. I plan to enjoy it as much as I can.
It's 300 miles out to his place. Not 100% sure how far from there we'll head out to go riding. That part is still up in the air.

 

It's my Friday, and I'm OUTTA HERE! I don't come back to work until the 16th.

Light work for this thing towing, but missed the Tundras suspension on the Forest Service Roads.

 

Hi, Everybody.

Slept in almost 3 hours later than normal. It was glorious.

Ran errands, got a friend set up after she broke a tooth, and just finished mowing the yard. Now it's time to get laundry going.

Man, I love being on vacation!

 

Picked up Poké for lunch. Just trying to stop sweating now…they got the spicy level just right today. Pure heaven…

 

Not familiar with Poké. Spicy may be heaven going in, but it's hell on the way out!

 

ITS THE BEST

 

My long weekend started at 1400 today. I've been maxed out on leave since Christmas. First weekday off this year is tomorrow. Life is grand.

 

Nice! It's definitely refreshing to get a break once in a while.
