Obviously I'd want to be in a controlled environment such as a sanctuary where the bears or whatever big fluffy animal is used to human interaction. the only wild predator I'd even consider approaching would be a coyote as long as its alone and I've got my knife ready.

true story: my cat went missing outside for about a month and I saw him on our property again but he wasn't too keen to come back inside. He looked pretty skinny so I went inside and got a can of cat food and placed it by the bushes he was hiding in and went back inside to wait a bit. came out an hour later and a coyote was standing right over the cat food. I approached slowly with my knife in my left hand and held out my right hand to the yote. It smelled my hand, let me scratch its head, and then it very quickly picked up the can of cat food and ran off. coolest day ever. About an hour later we were able to herd the cat back into the house. And thats the story of how i semi-befriended a wild coyote

 

We had a family in our city who used to keep a chimpanzee and while kids were visiting got a finger bit. Needless to say, the city took the chimp and took it to a refuge. But while at the refuge the owners went to visit and later it was theorized the other chimps got jealous; some escaped and seriously mauled the visiting owner and their chimp escaped into the hills and was never found. The owner survived but might have lost a few fingers himself.

 

see chimpanzees scare the shit out of me. If I were to ever encounter a wild chip somewhere I'd be as submissive as possible. those things could literally rip my face off because they felt like it. they're like the frat boys of the jungle and just like to show dominance. I'd feel calmer sitting next to a gorilla.

 

Yes, all what you say is true! They're built like a hulk and in the wild would actually kill other chimps in opposing family structure.

Except that 9 out of 10 times trucks built like that aren't capable off road, and the conservatively endowed owners won't leave pavement. Nowhere near enough rubber on those rims. That thing probably rides awful over anything that isn't glass smooth.

Not a fan of the '90s paper cup paint job either.

That might be mean, but I just woke up so I'm gonna use that as an excuse for being crabby.

And I assume the owner likes it and wanted it done this way. But yeah, nothing wrong with looking all decked out but it’s too much fun off-roading and almost goin over the side of a trail and getting pulled out

 

That’s one of the best looking white tundra I have ever seen. I still favor black. But I can respect this white one.

Yeah, Aaron is the reason I went to MCM to do my suspension...been having fun since!

 

And they red truck came from Texas just for the occasion!!

 

I know I should go find it in your build thread, but I'm being lazy, as it is my Monday. Minimal effort being offered.

What did you do for suspension work? Did you have to do the CMC?

I'm tentatively interested in increasing the ride quality and a bit more clearance is never bad, but I am sold on the SCS Ray 10 Wheels, and trying not to spend a fortune on tires and such. I know I'd never be going to anything like 37s. Basically I am wanting to keep the factory rake for trailer towing in the future, but I drool when I see the videos of trucks rolling over bumps and washboards at speed with the suspension keeping it from rattling anybody's fillings out. I'm so indecisive.

 

I bought the truck with a 6” rough country spacer block lift. Top of roof was right at 7’.

I was lucky none of frsne was cut so the shop took out the lift, put in 3.0 ADS coilovers with clicker adjusters up front, also ADS shocks on the rear with new HD leaf pack from Deaver.

 

No CMC but the alignment was adjusted cuz I was getting rub at turns.
Currently with 20” wheels but have 17” Icons and saving for 37” Cooper tires - more sidewalk = better ride and less flats...

 

I get done rub in reverse or full lick turn...es close...
