The two sections of drive shaft look a lot more in line after install. Hopefully this helps the 'take off shudder'. :D

3" front spacer lift and 2" rear spring lift. 20" Fuel rims with BF Goodrich G2 33.5s and Volant cold air intake.
How much was the spacer kit? , my leveling kit came with spacers for transfer case and skid plate but not the carrier bearing. Let us know if it helps with vibration at take off.

X2. I did a 1.5" lift on the rear and it gave me the shudders. :(

My dealer installed ProComp 7" lift had a 3/4" spacer in there. This upgrade kit was $30.00 plus shipping, from Ekstrom Design & Fabrication, aka. 'Coachbuilder' on the other Tundra forum. He makes several sizes for different lift heights, this one is 1 1/4".

It changed it. I think it's better. Let me see if I can describe it it writing that makes sense...
I've always had a bit of shudder when I first took off from standing still. I never thought much of it figuring it was the tread on the Terra Grapplers, until I read elsewhere about the "takeoff shudder". Plenty of reading and a few PMs to David pointed to not enough drop at the carrier for that much lift.
Before the new drop kit it seemed the shudder was maybe one second when the truck first started to move. With the kit installed that first second shudder seems to be gone. I think I'm still feeling a little something after maybe the first second or two of moving, but that could well be the tread. It is different, so the drop kit had a definite effect. I only rode around the block a couple of times so far- too much to do after being away for work for a week...
Install took about half an hour, including up and down the basement steps grabbing the sockets and the piece of cardboard to lay on, and digging a jack stand out of the shed. I wedged the jack stand under the drive shaft just to support the weight. It can be done without it- I removed one bolt, and loosened the other enough to slide the new spacer in and get the bolt started. I removed the other side and put in the new. Easy-peasy.
With the bigger drop spacers in the two sections of the drive shaft are certainly closer to being in line with each other, where as with the smaller spacer there was a noticeable angle at the carrier.

Since it at least changed the shudder it was 30 bucks well spent to me, I know it did something. If you are thinking about it and have an extra few bucks laying around I say go for it.

David also sent me info on his rear shackle dimensions. I'll be ordering up a set to get rid of the little bit of squat in the rear after I find someone to install the Auburn LSD that is still in the box...

I bet it's a good feeling seeing your work on all these trucks! I'd like one of those canvas top setups like that guy on Tacoma world was making for a while.

Make them give you the 8 year 125k platinum warranty. The 800 number will do it.
