A few people said a bad word multiple times. You simply can't talk about naughty bits in a family forum environment.

This isn't directed at you Jim, but just a statement.

I got a reality check with a member on here recently. I played a joke, thought it was funny, everyone else that knows me thought it was funny, except this member. I totally missed how they would have read the joke and the reaction after the fact. This member was not happy to say the least, and probably wasn't coming back.

At this point, I had two choices to make. 1) Don't care, it's the webs, take a joke. 2) Apologize multiple times, and even had to pull in a favor from another member to talk over the site "feel" and what not.

I chose option 2, and come to find out, this member is really active and kick ass. It was worth the stretch, no matter how ridiculous I thought it was. This wasn't about me.

So to the point. Some content is best kept in group text messages or PMs. When deleting posts tonight, my 9 year old came over and wanted to see what I was doing on the laptop, and had to turn her away due to the content of what was being deleted.

    I agree.

Could you imagine if people seen some of the group text messages on our phones?

Yeah, some of that was cringe worthy. That bicycle kept being pedaled though.

In other news, per news reports it looks like Amazon has chosen northern Virginia (just outside DC) and NYC as their split HQ2 locations.

Evening all. I don’t know how some of you live in those cold weather states. It was mid 30s here today and after walking out for some firewood I was done with winter.
My dog peed on the patio and I don’t even blame him. He wanted back in quick.

The day I quit that job ranks up there with my kids being born and getting married. On the plus side I haven’t had a job I’d consider hard since. It set the bar.

Every day in the pit hauling or cleaning up slag if I was lucky. Furnace or ladle wash out was what I dreaded. Had to clean under a furnace to get the ladle in place. I cleared it and got around the corner when it washed out. 15 more seconds and I’d of gotten a free cremation. One of many close calls. It does make for some good stories now. I get to sound tough instead of incredibly lucky.

Anyone can be an A-hole, intentionally or otherwise. That’s the easy part. What separates the good from the bad is what happens afterwards.

I fully agree with your stance, I made 2 mistakes here and won't make a 3rd! Being temporary banned here sucks especially when I really enjoy this site daily! Without this site my truck would not have been modded by myself period! I laugh, joke and enjoy the friendships here and with my service connected disabilities this site actually calms me down and relaxes me and keeps me focused during my bad periods! I'm sure my fellow vets in her understand kinda what I mean!

Anyway, @ColoradoTJ , sometimes you just gotta do what you do and settle the heard down!
