I was thinking the same thing but I've discovered that it simply takes longer to get warm. My V6 Tacoma warmed pretty quickly, but the bigger engine and larger cab just seems to take longer to get heat (and to cool down) throughout. I just clocked a 700 mile road trip yesterday in a raging snowstorm. I was down to a T-shirt with the fan on its lowest speed and the temperature control dial on the first red mark to the right of center. Cozy.

Can't wait to get in my retrofit kit. It won't look just like the pic as I'm blacking out all the chrome and color matching the shroud. The halo will still look the same though... I made sure of that!

I have been heavily debating this! You should do a write-up to help convince me...

That'll be my first detailed write up ever, but I guess I have to start somewhere.

I got it for $300 after shipping... they had a 25% for black Friday if you spend over $300. I got the Mini D2S kit with the halos that fit inside the shroud which is a pretty simple kit to install. I had them on my '09 Tacoma and I installed them on my dad's '01 Tundra.

In case you didn't, look into some other threads made by guys doing BHLM and retrofits on the 2014 headlights. From what I hear they used a different seal on the 14's and they are a real pain to open up. Make sure you have a lot of time when you decide to start. I can't wait to see the result they are going to look great!

Thanks for the info! I work 4-10's so I have three day weekends every weekend. I'll start it Friday morning and if I'm not done by Sunday we're going to have some real problems. LOL

Haha.. I figured you already knew, but just wanted to make sure you knew it wouldn't be a breeze like the Tacoma's...

It was the low 20's here but an otherwise perfect day. Usually it gets really windy. Had some issues fishing though. Everything that got wet was icing upimage.jpg

This was my scrap run this morning. A little more than the 1700 or so pounds of last time. This put the back of the truck right near the bump stop. Maybe 1/2in or less from it. sure hauls better than a Tacoma!

I had an windshield repair technician filling a small crack o got in the windshield the other day..."ur truck is beautiful, and I love the wheels." He also complimented on the cleanliness on the interior...I guess most he services has crap all over the floors, and seats....times like this I'm thankful for my OCD on keeping it as clean as possible.
