Thanks, good to be above ground still. I was kinda lucky as I was noticing going uphills and working giving my ticker some problems. What really set off alarms was my low heart rate, as the my watch was reporting my heart rate was below 40 for 10 minutes. I started to get the warning more often vs 6 months apart. I’m doing good, today is my 4 weeks with the pacemaker and I think my heart is doing better, as the walks up the hills are easier. On the weekend my generation 6 iwatch quit working, I went out and bought a new one one Monday as I figured it save my ass. I never had any pain, stroke or attack but was probably close to having an incident of some sort. I had a heart monitor that was to go 30 days, 5 days into the study the cardiologist called and was talking pacemaker. Kinda gives a new outlook on life. Sorry to hear about your co worker at 52. I made it to 73 and hope to be around for awhile longer.

This is true, but when I have my cheat meal once a week, I want it to satisfy.

The local ones, of really any sort of retailer, I do not mind supporting. Those guys and gals are busting their ass, and are not getting rich off of it but are trying damn hard to be successful.

Wife had booked tickets to CA for father day weekend, to take the kids to universal. I absolutely despise being in crowded places like that. I told her she’ll need to re-schedule as I a not spending 5 days away from home and traveling for Father’s Day weekend.

I need to sit down with my wife soon and have a hard conversation with her. Every single time she goes out somewhere, she treats herself to Starbucks. Once a month might be manageable. A few times a week is insane.

Just like when she goes to the grocery store. Every time, she comes home with all kinds of baked goods and treats and snacks. Meanwhile, the muffins we made last weekend sit on the counter until they're mouldy.

I suspect every guy towing a travel trailer has at least that much on the ball. Though I guess it's a little different with a WDH.

What's your rear axle rating? 4100 lbs? If your truck weighs around 6200 lbs, that should be less than 3000 lbs on the rear axle just from the weight of the truck. So it seems to me you have room.

Not that I necessarily condone this.

Wife and I go to the buck weekly during my daughter’s guitar lesson. Has become this little 30-min date for us. But $11 for an iced tea and their version of an Arnold Palmer is pretty nuts.

We visited OS a few years ago. Still like Long Beach better. We are near West Port this weekend, which from a “ocean community” perspective is a distant 3rd on the list, but there are a few things in the area we like. Plus we are staying at a Hipcamp so away from the zoo.

might as well throw a cyber truck in there...

seriously though I commonly ask this same question. At what point will the revolt happen? What's the limit the common middle class and lower class can reach before they pop? I hate to say it but it's still a far away place for this to happen due to how many uncritical thinkers we have in our society.

I had to have that talk sometime last year, the coffees and treats were getting out of hand.
I make good money but single income is still single income, lol.

On that subject; I think it's very important to make her feel like it's our money, not mine. When a wife gets an allowance, you're asking for resentment. I know a couple guys in that situation

I’m easily over 6 digits a year, and feel like I’m still stuck in middle of middle class. Can’t catch a damn break.

Whatever this forum told me to do
my son's good friend and his wife make right @$100k combined (they are 23yrs old)

    live in small apartment

they are VERY frugal & they say they get by.

    near zero savings.

    sad.

they all love getting together at our garage for D&D nights....knowing we will provide food and drinks.

    Similar but different story...

About 6 months back my wife and discussed the likelihood of having to house one of our girls once they are "supposed" to leave the nest. And we aren't talking about just for the college years.

6 digits (especially if the first one is a '1') is the new upper lower class :D

I want so badly to have a cynical comeback to this. But I've got nothing for ya.
    So here's my try.

It is f'ugly. And you're right. It would be a waste of money. But with all that aluminum siding they wouldn't be able to tap into my brain waves anymore.

The middle class is a very broad range but common factor is unable to "get ahead". There needs to be constraints on those with ability to tax.

When I lived out that way in Seattle years ago, my wife and I would frequently make trips out to Westport. But my then employer NOAA moved down to Newport so we relocated and had a house that we rented just a couple of blocks up off the beach. I am in full agreement that WA coast is nice but OR definitely has WA beat.

Keep the boat back on the bunks a bit and cheat the tounge weight if you are worried?
Put it in 4lo when pulling it up the boat ramp, your transmission will thank you.
