X is a waste of time.

Besides, it’s not something you follow, it marks the spot.

I could try that. I just feel like it would be a lot of whack-a-mole trying to tamp everything down, and what I’d be left with is a narrower feed that I made for myself. I’m not saying you’re wrong, I just can’t handle managing it.

Everything seems to be getting more depraved and raw, everyone has to swear and use emphasis to get their voice heard and rise to the top.

I'd rather be left behind than be informed by today's media/everyone has a voice social page/and inconsistent adolescent ramblings.

Then here's this. Is it really news? Or is it another facet of a capitalistic society trying to earn and churn.

Same here. 90% of the noise out there is designed to get people riled up and keep everyone divided. I have opted out of that and am better off for it.

Whatever this forum told me to do
    well....

    given the choice

I would want news from a capitalistic society rather than a socialist society.

diversity of news sources is a very good thing.

the drawback being you have to check your own confirmation bias.

    it ain't easy.

Not many even know what confirmation bias is. Let alone the ability to check it.

    Or critically think about it.

People are so dumb they believe anything.

I'm with you about having access to a diverse source of news feeds.

What I am saying is that news sources, are just another for profit industry that shouldn't be fully trusted.

    very true.

what's been awesome lately is seeing the delta between Legacy media reporting and X reporting.

it's like the curtain is pulled back.

I'm following my own advice of keeping busy while waiting for my background check to get completed. To that end, I picked up a 20 gallon long aquarium yesterday.

I just wasn't happy with the 13.5 gallon Fluval. It is geared towards saltwater, so the lights are too powerful which has caused a non-stop battle with green hair algae.

The overflow/filtration has sucked in fish and shrimp despite my best efforts to keep them covered and the sponge also gets clogged up really easily.

The benefits of the 20 Long, bigger tank, will be filtered via sponge filter, which is just a more simple and robust filtration method that I don't have to touch or clean for months on end. I'll eventually get a metal rack and have multiple tanks going. For now, I'm kicking off the cycle on the 20 and when it is good, I'll move everything over and shut down the Fluval setup, which I'll either sell or just keep as a quarantine setup.

The average horse weighs 1000lbs and has a 20" dick. That's a ratio of 50lbs to each 1" of dick. Therefore, an average 200lb man needs a 4" dick to be hung like a horse.

I think the downward spiral of "the news" is largely to blame on reporters stating opinions vs facts. If you take all the opinions out of news and only state pure facts, then it takes out bias. But, that's not entertaining so we get this garbage they call "news" which should actually be called "opinions".
